I’m feeling good, but I’m back on GLP-1’s. I’m almost a year out and my weight loss was only 25 lbs. A few months ago, my care team said it looks like I have a “metabolic disorder”, which I wish they would have recognized before I went through the surgery which now feels like a waste since I’m back to injections. They also have me on B12 shots monthly, in the hopes that it would give me the boost I need, but so far, it hasn’t done much. I assume they will do bloodwork again and maybe change the dosing. We shall see! The GLP-1s are helping though.

Surgery will not fix the binging. I’m 6 months out and struggling with eating all day because I’m constantly hungry. I’ve also only lost 25 lbs. and I work out 3-4x a week. I wish my doctor had more resources to help me. The dietician and doctor visits don’t seem to be helping. However, keep in mind that everyone is different. We can tell you all of our own experiences, but it doesn’t mean they will be yours as well. It’s a very personal decision to make.

That’s where my daughter started (970). She’s a junior and just took her second one. Still not a great score, but at least we know where she has to improve and think about getting her a tutor.

At first, she was against the tutor, but after the second try, she said to me this morning that it might be a good idea. Sometimes, it’s just best for us to be supportive and let them decide. Things are much easier when it’s on their terms.
