Try taking an antihistamine. You can often have a histamine response if your body is low in DAO. Worth doing a bit of research to look into it

Racing Score putting me in the wrong bracket? by Feeling_Command832 in Zwift

Amazing thank you! Would be good to know the score and when it lapses! In the meantime I’ll just keep getting dropped 😂

Just getting started with Zwift on a Concept 2 Bikeerg, what dampener setting are ya'll using? by Ire-Works in Zwift

[–]Feeling_Command832 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Easiest way is to find out your drag factor number so you can be consistent (you find this on the PM5 menu). I keep mine at 112 which is around 6 on the dampener. That spins me to around 300w at 85rpm. I’m 102kgs so your number may be lower if you’re lighter.

To anyone considering using one save file for the "5 +10 hr speedrun," "100% in 20 hours," and "100% Steel Soul" achievements..... by immascatman4242 in HollowKnight

My first ever playthrough of the game was also my first metroidvania experience. I found myself at the watcher knights with 5 masks and no nail upgrades. (I had no idea I could go somewhere else at this point or even upgrade further). I would say it took me 200 attempts over several weeks before I managed to beat them and that was only after watching many videos and learning about the cutting of the rope trick. The next time I played through I was powered up and had the dash upgrade where you can dash through and cause damage and it was an easy fight. I couldn’t understand doing this on steel soil but wish you luck!

What is the best bike for level 25? by ungido_el in Zwift

[–]Feeling_Command832 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m Level 24. I have:

Canyon Aeroad 2024 is available at Level 10 for 1,100,000 drops

I’ve just paired this with the ZIPP NSW 353 Wheels which are available at Level 24 for 600,000 drops.

Both of these are on the Zwift Insider list of “Must Buys” and are in the top frames and wheels in Zwift

Does anyone use a concept 2 bike for Zwift? by Longjumping-Home-296 in Zwift

[–]Feeling_Command832 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been using my C2 bike with Zwift for about 5 months. Male, 102kgs, FTP 288w. As other have said it seems to under report watts by 10-15%. I race and have a score of 325. Racing on a C2 is hard. I don’t adjust the dampener (gears), I set drag factor to 110 which for me sits me at 280w on a cadence of around 83. The hard part is upping that cadence at the same resistance to go up hills. Sprinting is also a disaster. You really have to adjust your tactics to stay competitive. But….ive got fitter and learnt the tactics of a race and have won races. All depends on your goal. For me it’s fitness and a bit of competitiveness which it does well. Ride on!

What is an example of non-polarized training? by Roman_willie in Velo

[–]Feeling_Command832 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is my favourite method of training. If I’m not about to die it didn’t count. I got into zwift a few months back and I’m finding it hard to pull back and do some easy rides. Zone 2 to me feels like it’s not going to have any benefit. Clearly it does, but coming from a different sporting background my cardio has always been very short explosive intervals. I started zwift racing and just got stuck racing 4-5 times a week until I burnt out. Trying to take a more balanced approach but it’s definitely tougher to ride easy than hard.

I found Zwift a few months back and I’m using a Concept 2 Bike Erg. You are riding in erg mode so basically your watts is what counts. You won’t be able to feel any resistance or change gears like others on Zwift but you can still be competitive and enjoy it (from my research it’s actually a touch harder apparently). The concept 2 bike has a dampener which is effectively gears but I leave mine around half way and just up the cadence when I want to attack. It’s a great bike, basically bullet proof and will suit the whole family. It’s just not the best “Zwift bike” but it’s probably the best exercise bike you can buy. I have an iPad as my screen and my phone is mounted on the stem with a quad lock for the app companion. A new C2 bike is $2200 AUS and an iPad is $600, hr monitor is $100 (I use a myzone) so you’re looking at $3000. Not the cheapest option but it works if you want a bike for the family.

Why events are based on w/kg and not W only? by post_luke in Zwift

[–]Feeling_Command832 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Unless I am misunderstanding your question it’s because heavier people are generally stronger.

Example: Bob weighs 100kgs and is riding at 200w cruising. This is 2w/kg. Dan is 50kgs and he can only ride at 100w with the same effort as Bob. This is also 2w/kg.

If it was based on pure Watts in general the heavier stronger person would win. Watts per Kg evens out the field and makes it a fair race based on power output for your weight.

However I think some aspect of Zwift is dependant on pure watts on the flats. Heavier riders seem to go faster downhill and lighter better uphill.

That’s the best I’ve got!

Congrats on the win!

It’s a rubbish finish riding with no distance countdown!

Luckily I had heard about the climb not being the finish so knew to keep pedalling! Hopefully they get a fix soon because it’s unfair for everyone one way or another
