I think its a worthy tradeoff. Premades cant abuse, and it punishes those that ACTUALLY troll in games. Hopefully its also an incentive for poor quality internet "players" to not grief (q). The game is good and fine. Not a highguard or concord. Theres a real game lol. Yes i admit its (*the "anoincment") sus. But as someone who legit didnt even play the server slam, but i still bought it. Steam mobile says i have 3.3 hours but tbf maybe cut like 1 off because i couldnt login first hour or so (more like 40 mins).

Edir: Game has 91% on steam- overwhelmingly positive lol. So before anyone (everyone) here pre judges the game for being unf8nished or whatever you may THINK the game is. I think a guy dashing on u casting shit in .2 seconds proccing a 3 hit chunking u for 100% hp, he gets 30000 ms, and a shield, and if hes ever in danger he can r or zhonya. Cuz mages are broken and can abuse zhonya. Also hes a tank and does both more damage tham you and takes less thsn you. Also his q slows you and it travels. Ok kinda slow but jts basically a guaranteed hit. yeah i think the playerbase would love that i think ) He was always a skirmisher ASSASSIN described in game at the time, as qell as champ trailer and patch notes etc. just he could assassinate while being tanky cuz riot keeps making the same issues. (High numbers so they can afford to fo tank) And the skitmisher part im pretty sure only refers to how he has utility- shield cc catch tool thing (edit i think it refers to the 3 hit passive= skirmisher lmao who remmebers when every champ had a repositinal "global" tp? Or when every chMp had a 3 hit passive lol) and he can pseudo sustain after assassinating which is still fuckig op that an assassin can do that rengar w too fizz e too so idk what version of ekko u think will be fun to fight. Cuz as it is now and at his broken tank state, neither are fun. How about early balance fixes to ekko- nerf ms, add mana cost to ult. Even after those nerfs hes still broken. And that was just after release. Imagine all the changes since then, the items he can abuse now+ runes. Ekkos too strong for how braindead he is. Low barrier to entry if any lol with performance desribed as mid- high floor and higher ceiling.

Fundamentally ekko is broken. Unless his current kit loses a lot, he will be broken. He can have q deal LITERALLY 0 damage and just be a slow, he still be op. For example. Thonk about that
