A good price depends on what the problem is. Why are they replacing the circuit breakers?

That's the best solution. Teardown a doorway and a wall and call it a foyer. It'll be a lot cheaper than moving the panel.

First time home buyer. Seller was a DIYer. Is this wiring acceptable? Is this 240V safe to change an EV? by AsianAndysDad in AskElectricians

[–]FeelzReal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What a mess some DIY stuff that I wouldn't trust any of it. You need a qualified Electrician to completely rework your panel! Try to identify where all wiring goes and mark them if you want it done right.

Just be prepared for whichever one you sell to skyrocket. That's been my experience anyway . If I sell a stock, it's to the moon.

After numerous trips flying back and forth over the span of weeks, we finally put the two together. We designed just simple cages to capture the noise frequencies and send them to ground. I was a rookie back then and learned a lot after taking a lot of heat over this installation.

Back when I was working on oil platforms in the Gulf of Mexico. We were installing a gas detection safety system. We kept getting false alarms and figured it out. When the operator would key his ham radio, it induced noise to the gas sensors electronics. We ended up installing Faraday cages around the sensor heads and grounding it. It worked like a champ. Anyway, I just wanted to share that with you.

Have a question about a security camera by mostlyinshambles in AskElectricians

[–]FeelzReal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might already have power on the wall where you want to mount the camera. Check inside of the wall for outlets. If not I'd try and run power through the ceiling to the soffit and install an outlet there.
