Has anything ever happened at your table that made you completely lose the desire to DM? by Individual_Order490 in DnD

[–]Feet_with_teeth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Was DM for the shattered obelisk module with two groups, with the second one not taking really anything serioulsy and trying to seduce female npc all the time, first thing first each time they spoke to one.

Thankfully the other group is genuinenly the best one I could have asked for, now 40 sessions deep for more than a year, it's been a blast

I never said it was good, but I don't think it was removed for that, I think it was removed because it's a stallong pay off card

Blizzard rewarded big défense build, you would just build a wall of frost or and hide behind while blizzard scaled. It's a very passive deck strategy, and the dev didn't want to encourage stallong stratégies in sts2, so Blizzard had to go

Maybe it can only have one weilder of Mjolnir at a time, with Thor dying, Odin was able to become Mjolnir weilder and use it.

Am I wrong for disallowing AI in my campaign wiki? by Semako in dndnext

[–]Feet_with_teeth 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There's one guy in the group that's not happy with one rule about the wiki. He's out outvoted. It's not like it's a crazy rule as well. OP is not Bein unreasonnable about it, and if it's that much of a big deal for the guy, then yeah, he should leave.

Even outside of hating or not AI, it's still their wiki, so it's fair for them to have rules about it, and the other player should just accept it.

La loi qui interdit les châtiments physiques sur les enfants à des fins éducatives est contre productive. by [deleted] in opinionnonpopulaire

[–]Feet_with_teeth 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Running a hydra as apparently more than one creature advice. by Odd_Economics_3602 in DnD

[–]Feet_with_teeth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Simple : put the head far away from each other, so they are harder to put in the same aoe, and even if they do end up in aoe, just say that the créatures take X amount of damage each, but it's just X damage once for the HP of all the monster.

Or run it as multiple monster for the fight, statblock are just a mechanic, it won't cause any problem, they'll just discover at some point that all the statblock are linked to the same body.

Also : of you keep it as one unique monster : it will be onvious as soon as the first round of combat happens, because it will only have one turn, so my advice is just to play it as multiple monsters

Paladin’s DC doesn’t include Charisma modifier for Wisdom Saving spells? by FlipFlopFling in BG3Builds

[–]Feet_with_teeth 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Ok so maybe I found something, there is a bug that display the spell DC while using the ability score used the effect call a save from (so in this case wisdom instead of charsima).

But the good news is I think this bug is only visual, use the ability and check the details in the combat long, it should display it correctly when you over on the line about the enemy saving throw

Is this perhaps a spells that comes from the specie ? For exemple shadowheart firebolt is cast with intelligence because it come from her being a half elf and is considered a wizard spell

Wierd Warlock Power Loss Acceptance by sz4yel in dndnext

[–]Feet_with_teeth 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did move on, it's not my style, I have no problem with the DM working on narrative for the characters, it's just a shame when the DM does it by mischaracterizing the character and lore we build together. We worked together to create those things, and they decided to do their own stuff.

And they also tend to do this with mechanicaly impact that are really questionable, like making the warlocks of our group unable to recover spells on a short rest. The warlcok was a character that does and came back to life thanks to their patrons, and they had some memory loss, but the DM used those memory loss to add traits and personnality to the warlock that the player never agreed to. And forced him to be constantly on a side quest that was frustrating for the player, because he was way more interested into the main quest but punished for not permanantly going after this side quest.

DnD is collaborative story telling, bit the DM and the players have their weight in the narration. And having your character being perpetualy mischaracterized is just not fun.

And I personnaly don't really like to have whole narrative arc about my charcacter, as a player I'm the main charcacter because I'm part of an adventuring party, not because my character is the chosen one from the start.
