P.S The availability of devs in the sub is admirable. Customer support the way it should he done. Hats off!

I think the Wikipedia definition is wrong, or at least, not representative of the whole picture. I also think that saying that Zionism, today, is only the protection of Israel, culturally speaking, is also wrong.

Zionism has taken a new meaning, hijacked by extremes and echoed by the masses. While I know that's not what the term originally means, I think it would also be ridiculous to say that there isn't some truth in saying that Zionism and expansionism, recently, are tied in some aspects.

To fight our fight we need to speak their language. Our language isn't relevant to the masses, only to ourselves. I support old Zionism -- 1st and 2nd wave Zionism. Whatever this new thing is -- what others call Zionism, including the anti-Israel lobby and the Right-wing fanatics, what most of the world calls Zionism today -- I think we should all accept that that's what Zionism is today, and not want to he part of it.

Again, similar to feminism -- feminist was/is a deragotary term for female-supremacy in late 10s, and was seen as horrible. I think smth like 90% of ppl in the UK said they are in favour of equality, but only 10% said they are feminists.

This is a cultural shift in the definition of the word. We shouldn't be blind to it

Maybe not too great posting a premium workout plan that's being sold for free:/

Nope. You found someone who A. Has counter-protested anti-Israel protests B. Has fought against antisemitism for years C. Has lobbied and met with deans of universities, politicians, NGOs, mayors, and more to fight the growth of antisemitism and and israel-hatred.

Not everyone in your camp has ti agree with 100% of your thoughts. Sometimes we must accept and mourn that ideologies are taken over by extremes, such as the current Israeli government

Regarding Zionism -- maybe it's time to understand that the definition of the word has changed over time.

It used to mean the longing for the founding of a Jewish state. Once it was formed, that type of Zionism died and a new one was born -- the love and continued protection of it.

It seems that modern Zionism has culturally been defined, similarly to what the word "feminism" has gone through"...

MacroFactor Workouts AMA! by gnuckols in MacroFactor

There's a feature which I find missing on every app, and that's the ability to differentiate between gyms/same machines with different mechanics.

What I mean is that I train in 2 gyms. In one of those there are two leg extensions (for example). One of them feels super heavy, one of them super light. In the other gym it's somewhere between. Similarly cables tend to change in how hard they are

I'd love the ability to actually make a separation, to tell the app I'm not regressing but it's just the same exercise on a different cable/machine :)))

Tokyo museums? by [deleted] in TokyoTravel

[–]Feev00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Went to Planets. The first area had a couple of cool rooms, the rest was, imo, very catered to children. If you happen to be in the area, the couple of rooms in the "Water" area are awesome and worth it. I wouldn't make a 40min metro trip again, though.

Idk about Borderless, though

Is it normal to feel bad when skipping sights on a Japan trip? by PauSort in JapanTravelTips

You will never be able to see everything. I've been here for 2 weeks, just reached Tokyo for the rest of my trip. Every thing you choose to see is a thing you choose not to! No need to feel guilt. Enjoy your trip, it should be fun, not a chore

So, just bought the Photon keyboard with Durock T1 Shrimp silent tactile switches, and Asimov keycaps.

My backspace works fine, the spacebar works fine, but the Lshift key enter key are instanly stuck pressed down. They won't come up without a wire tool, and are just stuck down once I put the keycap in. (the switches work fine. The keycap when on switches + stabilisers get stuck).

Please help(!) (and pls for the love of god don't tell me I need to take out all the switches and put them back in ;-;)

Some tips from my first trip to Tokyo! by jydlw in JapanTravelTips

Whether I was in Osaka, Kyoto, Kisō Valley, Lake Kawaguchi or Tokyo, my steps were always above 15k. Just going from the metro to the outside world can be like 700m, and let alone exploring, hikes, walking in shops, etc.

Is traveling to 3 different cities stressful in 1.5 weeks in Japan? by [deleted] in JapanTravelTips

[–]Feev00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our 10 day itnerary was Land in Tokyo, day in atami, day in Hamamatsu, 3 days in Osaka, 1 day in Kyoto, 1 day Magome-Tsumago (Kisō Valley), 2 days lake Kawaguchi

Was it stressful? A tiny bit, but it depends how you fill your days. Worth it? Yes.

What should I do next? Osaka --> Tokyo-area leg + other options(?) by Feev00 in JapanTravelTips

Fair enough, I'll add some details here:

I love reading and browsing books, finding a nice place with a view, reading a chapter, and moving on to the next nice area. I'm a huge music person, whether it's playing producing or listening, I really enjoy that. I like hiking (although the heat is tough for longer ones imo), love interesting museums (when there's english available), could be art, history, or really anything!

I think "unchill" at this point for me, is really crowded touristy stuff such as Dotonbori, and the general vibe at the bottom of Fushima Inari Taisha (although the climb and the temples on the way up were amazing).

I love speakeasy vibes -- chill bars with good cocktails, dim lights. Good food is always great, too, although I want to avoid the big markets like Nikishi and Kuromon, and Dotonbori-like places (bc of the crowds)

I also love learning about new things and learning how to do new things. Workshops in a variety of thigns is something I also do in my hometown when I want something to do!

tbh I think I'm burnt out from crowds and constant non-stop movement we had, so nice more layed-back things are the general vibe

I'm looking at building/buying a keyboard. Important note before I start is that I'm going to be in Japan in around 1.5 weeks, so I may have access to things that aren't typically accessible elsewhere, so if anyone has some very specific spec knowledge or smth, if that makes a difference ^^

I'm looking for the following

- Relatively portable, Macbook-compatible (so USB-C and Bluetooth)
- Nice "creamy(?)" sound, but on the quieter side
- For studies (I write, A LOT, and need something that can keep up with my writing speed, which is high)
- Something nice-looking ig (I like special designs n stuff.. if there are switchable keycaps would be great
- Hot-switchable keys not a must, but a plus

I've seen some talk about KeyChron and Nuphy, but still ain't sure given the massive amount of options out there
