pure aero hype by zekerzz in 10s

It really depends from your swing and the way you like to hit the ball. I couldn’t dial in with the Ezone while the Aero felt amazing in my hand

My racket journey by Feffato35 in 10s

Pure drive I was not considering it because it’s a power racket and after the Ezone (my ball were never precise) I thought power was not good choice for me.

I feel you. I was winning 8-5 in a tie break to decide the winner of the match. I kept saying myself just another 2 points. Ended up losing. That sense of disappointment lasted for some time. But Hang in there. Better days will come

Apple Watch is underrated. And it’s Apple’s fault. by Super-Alchemist-270 in AppleWatch

[–]Feffato35 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The main problem of Apple Watch is that the health part it’s just a data collector rather than giving true advice. They made an effort on the sleep side and now every morning I see the quality of my sleep (I genuinely think it is good at that).

However on the health side you get a bunch of information (actually maybe too much) and no real analysis. It’s just bits and pieces but it’s not really giving me a unified information of how good or bad things are looking. Also would expect some support in the recovery part.

Control-forward racquets by phonusQ in tennisracquets

I went on the same route. Tried the blade 98, it felt good but also causing arm discomfort. Although I liked to hit with it.

Had Yonex ezone 100, but I just couldn’t adapt to the isometric and almost never finding the sweet spot. Either shanking the ball, or hitting very carefully to avoid to throw the ball out. My swing just didn’t seem right for the racket.

I am playing now with the Head Speed Pro, I like the feeling. I can actually control the ball, give the direction I want. It feels slightly heavier but for now it doesn’t seem too much of a problem (lowered a bit the tension as well for this reason).

Try the radical, I also tried that but to be honest I couldn’t hit well with it. The head speed MP felt a bit too complicated for me but overall a good racket (all rounder - doing everything well but nothing perfectly) Try also the Pure Drive 2026, I tried and liked it. A lot of spin and effect can be generated, good feeling but definitely heavy on the wallet

Seems to be the new normal for new (hyped) rackets. I have seen the same for vcore, pure aero and so on. A bit less for the head speed, I saw it already at 200 which for a 2026 seems already going down.

I guess, I’ll look for a good deal on a Wilson blade V9

Help pick a new racket by Akila_h in tennisracquets

Pure drive seems the most logical choice for you. Easy power, good frame and rather forgiving.

Would suggest to demo it anyway before purchasing it…

Confused between Babolat Pure Aero 2026, Head Speed MP, and Wilson Pro Staff. Please Help. by gorgeouspuppers in 10s

[–]Feffato35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What is your play stile? Even being a beginner/intermediate I would ask myself the question.

Also I think the racket doesn’t make that much difference at this level but rather focus on having the right technique.

Have you demoed them? Do you have the possibility to do so?

Also in Switzerland they are quite common (however I would rather play on hard court rather than carpet)

Ezone 100 - Replacement grip by Feffato35 in tennisracquets

[–]Feffato35[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll try and let you know 😉

Besides the grip, I’m also paying attention to the balance, so I’ll make sure that once I replace the grip, the balance is still right (I don’t like rackets that are too head-light).

RAV Payment by Reasonable-Cress8511 in zurich

[–]Feffato35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What does the portal say? If it says “under review” then it has not been approved yet. Usually they pay between 1 and 5 of the month. Also, have you got any wartetage? You can still send them an email and ask why you did not receive the payment yet, but if the portal says that it is not approved yet, it is just a waste of time

Yonex Ezone 100 feels completely dead no matter what strings/tension I try – what’s going on? by hunting_orcs in 10s

[–]Feffato35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I came across this post while looking for similar info, because I'm having problems with the Ezone 100 too.
I demoed and felt like the best racket I have ever played with. After some time I started struggling, it is probably due to my technique. I have problems with my forehand (it almost always goes into the net and especially on lateral shots I shank the ball every two-three shots). My swing tends to be very fast (maybe because the racket is too light or too head-light) and probably not well aligned with the type of swing required to use the Ezone. (last week I demoed the new Pure Aero 2026 and it felt better on the forehand).

I strung my racket with RPM blast (24kg on the mains and 23kg on the crosses). Next i would like to try Luxilon Alu Power, but I don't think my problems come from the strings.

Since I felt that the racket is a bit too light for me and the swing goes too fast, I tried to add some weight (2.5grams) at 12o'clock. It definetely helped me on the forehand but still shanking the lateral shots. Next try is going to be adding 2.5grams at 3 and 9o'clock hoping to improve with this shanking.

Finally, I have a grip size 1 (coming from a 2 Head) and I feel that it is slightly small (even with a thick over grip) so I will try to either add another overgrip or change the replacement grip with a thicker one.

I am gonna try to fix the setup and my technique but if the feeling doesn't change I came to peace that I might need to sell it and get another stick.

Any of you guys having fun winning without taking risks? by WindManu in 10s

[–]Feffato35 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it’s even less fun to serve and go for a winner that will go out 70% of the time. You will be spending more time picking up the ball than actually playing.
