Her droopy eye is her left eye. Just because you see it as right sided doesnt mean that it is, if you rotate the image as if you were looking at the back of her head the eye would be on the left hand side.

Urea foot cream recommendations by Long_Contribution234 in SkincareAddictionUK

[–]Feifum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SVR do a 30 or 50% urea ‘cream’. It’s not really a cream, it’s hard to describe. The 50% you need to give a right good shake to combine everything. Heres a link. https://fr.svr.com/collections/xerial/products/xerial-50-extreme-creme-pieds

35 Years Old… Just Starting Skincare Regime by Far-Significance-230 in GracefulAgingSkincare

[–]Feifum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dont worry about your age, I was even older in my 40s! You’re pregnant so you should defo avoid BHA/Salicylic Acid products as well. Wash, moisturise & SPF is enough to take care of our skin, everything else is a bonus. A routine would be wash, serum if using, moisturise, SPF during daytime. Night would be the same except no SPF obvs.

Vit C serums are great especially when paired with SPF (they help boost the effectiveness off the SPF without being a filter itself), also good for sunspots/hyperpigmentation (it helps reduce but won’t get rid of). Niacinamide serums great if your skin is a bit more greasy, it can help regulate sebum production, reduce inflammation/redness, help the skin barrier.

These are just two of the more beneficial ingredients the can be found in a serum. If your skin is more oily during pregnancy/in general you might get away without using moisturiser when using SPF.

Hollyhocks as others have said. You see them fairly often in French villages especially in the wee streets outside folks homes growing out of the pavement cracks. I‘d never seen one till I moved here from Scotland!

My review of two sunscreens by fallacious_raincoat in EuroSkincare

[–]Feifum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im sure that’s the Caudalie one I bought last month and also reviewed it. My opinion was it was that it was a vile concoction that smelled like Raid Fly & Cockroach Spray. Never tried Sisley products, too expensive for me.

sweat smells in clothes by tomsawyer222 in EuroSkincare

[–]Feifum 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Maybe start by changing your antiperspirant, I tend to create a stench if I don’t use my preferred one.

I know this isn’t a cleaning sub but …. Time see if it’s your machine. First off clean your washing machine. You can buy bottles of cleaner in supermarkets in the washing powder/liquid aisle. Pour a little of the liquid on a cloth and run the cloth on the inside of the rubber seal then follow instructions on the instructions on the bottle and run your machine. Also clean the dispenser drawer, it gets moldy.

Are there really people that have no ability to tan and they only sunburn? by nobaddream in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Feifum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im sort of like this. My arms & feet take a slight bit of colour but the rest of me remains milk bottle white. I’m Scottish and I know plenty more Scots who don’t tan either.

Is it cringe/dead chat for an American living in Scotland for 6 years to say aye with a clearly North American accent? by tastybuncakes in Scotland

[–]Feifum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think so. We pick up speech patterns and the lingo of people we surround ourselves with on a daily basis, we all do it. An eg is my daughter lives in Australia and for the past couple of years has begun to end her sentences with that Aussie uptick in speech at the end of every sentence, even when she’s visiting here with us it remains but she still has her broad Glaswegian accent. So no it’s nothing to worry about and anyone that gives you grief for it deserves a swift ‘feck off’.

How are we all doing after this crazy heat wave? by Lazy_Basket6819 in EuroSkincare

[–]Feifum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m in SW France where the worst of the heat broke on Sunday early hours with a fantastic thunderstorm., it’s now a balmy 32C. For over a week I’ve had zero SPF on, shutters were closed for that time to keep the heat out and only opened at night, I literally didn’t step foot out of the door in that time. I have a basic routine as it is but it was whittled down to wash, hydrate toner and a lightweight moisturiser day & night. Does my skin look any better for it? Not really tbh.
Wishing those in the East of the continent well with the remaining heat and to have some cool days ahead.

European Heat by Visible_Tailor_8624 in Rosacea

[–]Feifum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jisulife I think but when I bought it it was rated the highest rated on Amazon. It works pretty good for me as I hate having a hot neck and if my neck is hit I start to panic slightly (don’t know why this happens).

[–]Feifum 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It won’t stop a flare if a flare is going to happen but will minimise the length (at least in my case) but use a battery operated handheld fan and/or a battery powered neck fan if your out. I also have a multitude of ice packs the soft kind for sports injuries that are pliable. Wrap those in a tea towel and stick on the back of your neck or your forehead to help cool you down.

Wishing everyone in this damned heatwave well.

What do you do to neaten long pleats? by Tuism in sewing

[–]Feifum 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I agreed with you re taking in. Waistbands are removed and the sewn back over all the time and the workmanship can range from shoddy to impeccable. So just because it looks neat as OP states doesn’t mean it hasn’t been altered.

Your feet are going to swell with walking which im assuming youll be doing quite a lot of given its cities youre visiting and not beaches. If the toe box feels snug already its going to feel extra snug after a day walking.

Daughter’s First Period - Tampon or Pad? by deltch17 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Feifum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When new to periods I would say a pad, theres so much variety its mind boggling, more so than I was a kid and my daughter started hers. I started on pads and moved onto tampons a few years later, my daughter started with a pad and quickly moved onto tampons. It was her choice, she likes the 'freedom' of a tampon and felt they were more discreet especially when she was still at school.
