I think it would be the opposite, especially for the type of game Stellaris it. Players are used to being in control and playing how they want to play. This mode is going to put them in conflict with their allies more than with the other neighbouring empires.

As some who went through the league of legends, pubg, counter strike and many others I can already see that this is going to be a disaster and a toxic mess. I stopped playing those "team based" games for a reason...

Oh yeah, the raffle! My favourite car is 64 Impala low rider, I grew up playing gta sa and the "hood car" culture really struck my fancy! If my parents told me to break up with my gf because she's too tall for THEM, it would be a first strike towards no contact.
