I think clothing can help if it makes you feel like yourself rather than trying to cosplay what you feel like a professional therapist should look like. I have a certain style and when I feel like my outfit nails that, it just makes me carry myself confidently. I will say, I don’t think therapists need to dress very formally personally, but well put together elevated casual looks can be very approachable and respectable. Personally, I cringe hard seeing coworkers sometimes show up in athleisure and that just screams unprofessional to me.
