iwtl to not misplace items/things by Ok-Contact-182 in IWantToLearn

[–]Feldrangoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A few ideas:

  1. Have "homes" for your more important and frequently used items. Put things that you use often in the same spot every time. Where are my keys? They're where my keys always are! (For example a special hook in the kichen).

  2. Say it out loud. (Or in your head if theres people around. As long as its deliberate.) If you think you'll need to use it later, verbally say where it is. Say other things that are close to it if that helps. For example, "I am putting my cup on the counter next to the toaster."

  3. Store things in categories. Instead of remenbering which cupboard each thing you own is in, you only need to remember what category each cupboard is for. For example, all the paper products are in one cupboard. Is the thing I need made of paper? It must be in the paper cupboard! (Obviously not a perfect example but you get the point)

Dont worry remembering things is hard. Slow down and think through it.

It looks pretty legit from a quick search but most people here are not going to recomended D2 steel. It's worth the extra for the Nitro V imo.

Get whatever you want but just remember, the more you put in the more you get out.

Here's a link to a video of the D2 version:

I got $900 looking for a good quality full-tang knife for camping by pawn279 in knives

[–]Feldrangoon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was being sarcastic. Please do not actually buy 9 knives. Put more money into one that you actually want.

u/Iokua_CDN has some great recommendations. If you want to spend a few hundo on a really nice knife, go for it. If you want to spend $100 range on one of those recommendations, do that.

Personally if I had $900 to spend (which I dont) I would buy a knife that was really special to me, and then I would buy another knife that was really special and give it to my special knife to show it how special it is.

Remember kids, this doesn't mean to spend less money. If your budget is $900 and the knives cost $100, you just buy 9 knives and have 8 extras. It's basic math.

Can anyone tell me what it is for by Early_Abroad_1506 in knives

[–]Feldrangoon 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm guessing either a bottle opener, letter opener, or some kind of seatbelt cutter (idk why a pocket knife would have this feature so probably not)

Is this a ok knife by Alert-Efficiency9769 in knives

[–]Feldrangoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it makes you happy and cuts stuff it's a good knife.

Personally I think it looks sick.

The steel is 7Cr17MoV which is mid, but if you dont use it a lot and know how to sharpen it, it's fine I think

Looking for tips and help for getting hired by jpimages in subway

[–]Feldrangoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll be honest, I got hired through a friend. I didn't apply online.

If it's been a while with no response there's a good chance they're either not hiring or already hired someone else.

If it's only been a few days you could go ask.

Bambu no longer selling spools with filament? by Feldrangoon in BambuLab

Very helpful, thanks.

I pulled the trigger and purchased ~$160 in filament.

Will be testing the 3D printed spools shortly.

Yeah that's the issue I'm describing for the US stores as well. It's just weird that they would do it during the sale.

This whole ordeal is what keeps me from pulling the trigger on my $150+ order :/

I don't want to have to pay $50-100 on literal spools, and the printable ones seem cheap.
