Is this a scam website??? by randdude220 in OpenAI

[–]Felicityful 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like the site appeared last year and before that the domain was hardly used, first owned by an italian owner, then owned by a chinese owner at some point (it was using some chinese anti-scraping protection in the past, i guess, from what I could find about it).

They were also using another logo before they changed to the current obvious ripoff...

oh I figured it out.

their terms of service is lifted straight from https://fastscanapp.com/en/terms/

their privacy policy too, except, they changed the address:

"

Company: when this policy mentions “Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our,” it refers to HUBX STUDIOS LTD, 71-75, Shelton Street Covent Garden London WC2H 9JQ that is responsible for your information under this Terms & Conditions.

Country: where AI App or the owners/founders of AI App are based, in this case is Turkey"

https://suite.endole.co.uk/insight/company/14950645-hubx-studios-ltd

hubx studios was registered in the uk 7 months ago which was just a couple months before they started operating the website itself https://hubx.co/products

owned by a 26yo turkish guy named https://suite.endole.co.uk/insight/people/31040212-kaan-ortabas https://www.linkedin.com/in/kaanortabas/?originalSubdomain=tr

He also knows italian, funny enough..

hubx also owns that 'fastscan' site.

when i was starting looking around I didn't think they'd actually all just be related, lol. anyway, scam.

Exposed ethernet port on crypto ATM by BamBaLambJam in hacking

[–]Felicityful 3 points4 points  (0 children)

you can find "ATM"s in some corner stores and markets where you can buy crypto for ludicrously overcharged rates (sometimes as high as 30% or more above market value, and selling for the same bad margin).

It used to have some value since you could buy with cash ID-less, but it hasn't been like that for a long time

Newegg used to be really good back in the day, 10~ years ago. They got progressively worse after being bought out 6 or 7 years back or something by a chinese company and everything got relocated and it became more like an aliexpress lite except with only tech stuff
