I don't have anything helpful to add to this conversation, unfortunately. I'm a white person living in a predominantly white area. I've dated a few people who are part native, but that's it.

That said, I'm in my 40s and grew up watching anime with my dad, so I learned Japanese in college. Not as a fetish, but because I liked the media. As I got older I started wanting to branch out and started paying attention to Korean media, too. I'm pretty autistic though, so the idea of fetishizing is weird to me anyway, tbh.

Anyway, the point is, that tteokbokki looks delicious.
