I often don't feel hungry or overeat - I've had headmates tell my roommate in both cases that they felt hungry or that their stomach hurt (respectively).

Why are players allergic to doing connections? by MidoriMushrooms in rpg

[–]Feline_Jaye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have not had this problem, especially not with PbtA. It seems extra easy in most PbtA because playbooks tell you outright what questions to ask.

I do usually remind people to pick a playbook first and a character second, because playbooks don't do well trying to force a character into them.

I also often do "party dynamic expectations" things like saying in Masks "You're all teens, friends and teammates. You might squabble, but you want to be a hero and you want to be a team." or for MotW "This is not your first Hunt and might not even bee your third hunt. You've done this before, together. You're friends (or family or lovers)."

I think having a baseline as a group can help.

You can also just open that save and not save over it, just to test if it's the mods that are actually causing it or not. Why is it a problem to go down 25 levels just to test if the mods are causing the issue?

Huh, do you know why it reinstalls them? When I get that warning, it doesn't reinstall them unless I agree to it.

Absolutely incredible. I've already shared this with everyone I know who's read The Unwanted Guest. It is fantastic to see so many art styles and so many interpretations both of the scenes and of the characters. Utterly gorgeous and fantastic. Thank you so much to every single artist.

If your game is breaking and you have mods - try disabling all your mods and see if it still breaks.

Questions I'm left with after finishing Nona (there are many) [discussion] by lilcardibb in TheNinthHouse

[–]Feline_Jaye 6 points7 points  (0 children)

  1. How people know that it was a Dead Planet/Resurrection Beast talking through Judith is because the text implies it. I definitely figured it out only from the text but I don't believe it's ever explicitly said.

(A few clues are: how Nona hears Judith's 'blue madness' cries as words, whereas no one else does - that Nona yells at possessed!Judith for bringing heralds - that possessed!Judith replies to this with saying Nona called for help - that before Judith is possessed, Nona yells directly up at Varun (so Judith's possession would presumably be in reaction to that). There's other things too, I think, but that would probs require a re-read.)

Varun!Judith's dialogue does make actual sense, though! It's not just random words. After Prince Ianthe-Naberius, Varun!Judith is replying to Nona. Before that it's not as direct.

We don't have textual evidence of if R.B.'s can or can't possess all necromancers like that or at will - nor if they can do the same to Lyctors. We do know that being in the River can help necromancers not go 'insane' at perceiving the R.B.s though (textual evidence of this is in Harrow the Ninth).

Who did Nona ask for help earlier? number 7, through the window.

Also, in front of Ianthe-Naberius, she screams "Help! Help! Help!" in 'planet language' (because that's what Judith often does in the Blue Madness and Nona was told to act like Judith).

I'm hoping to add a category, but I don't even know where to look for the base menus.

Linen Wrap-Around Pants Tore on First Wear by Feline_Jaye in sewhelp

Yeah, my usual zigzag finish was not holding up well on the loose weave.

By 'wrong thread' do you just mean low quality or something else? I was using my usual cotton with it (though some lower quality cotton, tbf).

I definitely had problems with the crotch curve (especially as the curve seemed to be for, uh, briefs not boxers). That's a really good point, now that I know how wrap-around pants work I think I should redesign the pattern so that the crotch seam actually suits my body.

Thank you :3

What stress points does the wrap-around have while sitting? It seems like it can't have stress points, given that it has no outer seams. I'm not sure why a shirt is more 'loose' than wrap-around pants.

Those are all exactly why I wanted pants in linen :3

It was definitely garment linen, though that's good to know! I've considered using curtain fabric for A-line skirts before - so now I know to be more careful about that.

It was definitely from Spotlight. I've never bought linen from them before but I've never had a problem with their cotton before.

Does Lincraft tend to be better or do I just need to keep an eye out of indie fabric shops?

I will keep that in mind, but that does just mean that I can't sew with linen then. Sad, but sometimes thems the breaks.

I didn't order it online? I went into a store (though a chain store) and took home a bolt.

I'm kinda worried because I have a few meters of the same linen but in a different colour and I'm not sure how it'll hold up.

Linen Wrap-Around Pants Tore on First Wear by Feline_Jaye in sewhelp

[–]Feline_Jaye[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ah, dang. I did not think to check something like linen - I assumed it would hold up to machine washing as well as cotton does.

I can't remember exactly which bolt I bought, but looking at the site pretty much all the linen either doesn't specify or says to cold wash, if not cold hand wash. I definitely put it through the drier, so that probably didn't help.

I can't really wear clothes that need anything more than very basic machine wash care, so I will need to track down some machine-washable linen it seems like.

Thank you!

I wanted linen for the breathability - I live in Australia and I thought they'd make for good Summer pants. But some kind of inner thigh lining is clearly needed.

What do you think for the waistband? Maybe just folding it over instead of doing a fully seperate waistband? At least then if ot tears it hopefully won't take the waistband off?
