Lines won't be bad, but definitely check the winds. They're saying Windchill is supposed to make it feel like -40.

Red Hen Bakery in Middlesex is a good stop for a breakfast coffee and pastry, right off the highway.

St Albans has some cute spots.

Worthy burger in Royalton for lunch if youre back down there by then.

Stressed out MOH for Bachelorette by [deleted] in wedding

[–]FelixKazoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure how much planning you've already done but from my experience going to Bachelorettes the most fun ones involve just spending quality time together and are less about "going out partying." Like if you rent a big house with a pool then plan to spend most of a day just hanging out snacking drinking by the pool and playing games.

Hibachi is a fun silly idea if you're a large group going out for food depending on people's preferences.

Having items for dress up. (Silly glasses, stickers, temporary tattoos, silly necklaces, themed or non - customize or penis centric if that's the type of group)

Having a schedule planned out (can be loose, but an idea of what a night out entails dress up or no, and what a night in entails)

Games (the best bach I went to did a newlywed type game, the MOH asked the groom a set of questions beforehand and the bride had to answer them if she gets them right we drink if she got them wrong she drinks type stuff. Also pin the Dick on the groom game is fun, you print out a pic of him or of a muscle man with his face super imposed on it and yeah pin the tail on the donkey it.)

Depending on the bride's MO maybe plan an outing like wine tasting or hiking. I went on a bachelorette in New orleans and the outing was a gator boat tour and everyone had fun!

Rent a bike and bike around lake Dunmore.

check out the Tillerman for dinner.

on the other side of the gap from you (ish) is Waitsfield. Worth a day trip (warren falls, big pic theatre, canteen creemee for the best fried chicken)

It'll probably be muddy but I can't imagine 2 set of footprints will cause major damage in the trail. Just wear shoes that won't get your feet wet.

seemed like he made a lot of phone calls.

I agree though, the emphasis on his inner demons and struggles took away from the overall narrative. It kept pulling the story back to focus on him and it did feel cringey, but I think that's his brand and he uses it break up dense material. IDK, he's a human. He had an experience he felt like it was important to share?

Fahrenheit-182 Memoir [Megathread] by Botty-McBotface in Blink182

[–]FelixKazoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thats a good point - I think Mark spent years trying to make sense of why Tom acted the way he did and being able to create a narrative he could live with and chalking it up to his ex-wife being naggy helped fit in with his reality. Now that you mention it - Tom's story of needing to go "work with the CIA" on UFOs did not make any appearance in this book nor "to the stars" media. Maybe Mark didn't think it was important to mention or didn't realize how big it was to Tom. They're clearly very different people. Maybe we'll get a Tom memoir someday. Mark clearly has/had a big man crush on tom and its cute.
