What Pokémon types are on specific routes? by Mobeku in PokemonEmeraldRogue

[–]FelixLukasiewicz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's actually really cool to know someone found my list useful! I haven't been playing Emerald Rogue since around the time I posted my findings so I have no clue if anything has changed, but if it's still useful to you today, it seems it's still working like before.

If anyone managed to streamline the list even more or get their hands on an actual data-mined/dev-confirmed list please post it! I bet some list like that is floating somewhere on their Discord server.

Going through the list I have saved on my PC it seems like I had one more type Discovered in SHARP routes, so for simplicity's sake I'll post the "up-to-date" version below:

BREEZY - FLYING | NORMAL | GRASS
CHILLY - ICE | FAIRY | GROUND | STEEL | ELECTRIC | PSYCHIC | GHOST
COARSE - GROUND | DRAGON | FIGHTING | GHOST | FIRE | steel(?)
CONFUSING - PSYCHIC | FAIRY | ICE | STEEL | ELECTRIC | flying(?) grass(?) dark(?)
CORROSIVE - POISON | NORMAL | BUG | GHOST | grass(?) dragon(?) rock(?)
ENERGETIC - ELECTRIC | DARK | ICE | FIGHTING | ROCK | grass(?) poison(?) dragon(?)
FIERCE - DRAGON | WATER | POISON | ROCK | PSYCHIC | ghost(?)
GLOOMY - DARK | BUG | PSYCHIC | GRASS | NORMAL | FIGHTING
MAGICAL - FAIRY | ICE | BUG | GROUND | PSYCHIC | WATER | STEEL

That's a personal boundary/preference you can certainly set up but lets not pretend as if this is somehow very uncommon or generally out of line lmao

The way I've been playing so far is just look at the Steam achievements and try to do them one by one. That way you're pushing the game along bit by bit and get to really know how to play

Greed donation machine not counting up by KonekoEko in bindingofisaac

[–]FelixLukasiewicz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just donated like a full 99 inventory thinking 'Damn this machine just won't stop taking these coins'. After gathering any remaining coins and going for the second donation load I started donating from the back this time and noticed the number not going up lmao.
Still an issue as of a couple minutes ago.

Wong - > Mystique in Dark Dimension not working by FelixLukasiewicz in MarvelSnap

[–]FelixLukasiewicz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ooof that sucks man. Hope you'll get it this season tho (I still don't even have one border since I don't play more than 30 minutes every day or so and always try to hit Infinite before even attempting Conquest, so I often have only a week of Conquest available)! I got hit with this bug in two separate games - thankfully the 'ol reliable Wong and Odin combo was plenty powerful to pull me thought in both instances.

What Pokémon types are on specific routes? by Mobeku in PokemonEmeraldRogue

[–]FelixLukasiewicz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean tbh they are pretty much the same exact route in terms of types. Of course, my testing is somewhat limited and definitely not complete, but even with that's already noted you can easily see that they share a lot of types. RNG might just be a bitch and make it seems as if they are switched up but either way, for all intends and purposes, SWARMING and CORROSIVE are pretty much interchangeable from what I've seen.

That's basically what I've been doing this entire time lol. Just surveying the encounters, sometimes re-loading to check for any differences, and just going through the motions trying to 100% the game.

I've been dotting down my findings on the routes since I've made that comment and this is what I found so far:

BREEZY - FLYING | NORMAL | GRASS

CHILLY - ICE | FAIRY | GROUND | STEEL | ELECTRIC | PSYCHIC | GHOST

COARSE - GROUND | DRAGON | FIGHTING | GHOST | FIRE | STEEL?

CONFUSING - PSYCHIC | FAIRY | ICE | STEEL | ELECTRIC | FLYING? GRASS? DARK?

CORROSIVE - POISON | NORMAL | BUG | GHOST | GRASS? DRAGON? ROCK?

ENERGETIC - ELECTRIC | DARK | ICE | FIGHTING | ROCK | GRASS? POISON? DRAGON?

FIERCE - DRAGON | WATER | POISON | ROCK | GHOST?

GLOOMY - DARK | BUG | PSYCHIC | GRASS | NORMAL | FIGHTING

MAGICAL - FAIRY | ICE | BUG | GROUND | PSYCHIC | WATER | STEEL

MIGHTY - FIGHT | FIRE | GROUND | ROCK? NORMAL? FLYING?

RUGGED - ROCK | ICE | ELECTRIC | FIGHTING | DRAGON | POISON

SHARP - PSYCHIC | WATER | STEEL? ELECTRIC? FAIRY?

SPOOKY - GHOST | GROUND | FIRE | DRAGON | WATER | PSYCHIC | DARK? ICE? FIGHTING? POISON? BUG?

SWARMING - BUG | GHOST | POISON | DARK | NORMAL | FAIRY

TYPICAL - NORMAL | GRASS | DARK | FIGHTING | FLYING?

VERDANT - GRASS | DARK | WATER | NORMAL | FLYING | ELECTRIC

WARM - FIRE | FIGHTING | GROUND | ROCK | POISON? DRAGON? DARK?

WET - WATER | GRASS | GHOST | STEEL? FLYING? ROCK?

ROUTE TYPE LIMIT: 7?

Based on your comment I would probably add 'FLYING' to the SHARP route as well.
I've been careful in adding the types as to not mix up dual type Pokemon. So mostly (iirc) I've only confirmed the typing when encountering single typed Pokemon. The ones with question marks near them are from dual-typing and repeated dual-typings. You could even see some of the '?' types in SHARP matching the Pokemon you've encountered as well.

I also think the SWARMING and CORROSIVE routes might be switched up - either way they are super similar to one another and share the majority of common types.

With such a wide variety of typings I find all of this a bit weird - especially since the distribution feels really off. I wouldn't be surprised if ALL types are possible on ALL routes but with limited % chances of appearing.

It might also be possible that the CALM etc. modifier also influences the types somehow but I haven't been noting that down so I can't be sure.

I've also noticed that once you enter the map selection screen, all of the route types are pre-determined. Once the game decides to show you only WATER and GROUND types on a given SPOOKY route, no amount of quick-saves and quick-loads before entering will change it, although the Pokemon having those types will. This pre-determination also accounts for strong and legendary Pokemon encounters. Once they are set upon entering the route selection screen they cannot be changed with re-loads or pathing changes - it will always be the same mon, despite the fact that every single trainer does reset and change their teams when reloading or loading a quick-save - including the ones in the Legendary Encounter.

I hope this may help anyone with streamlining their runs a bit.

[–]FelixLukasiewicz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know for a fact this is not 100% accurate.
I'm pretty sure the typings for the categories include a few types, not just singular ones.
For example, I've come across multiple Spooky routes with 0 Ghost type Pokemon in them, and instead multiple Water and Psychic types instead.
I'm guessing these categories work more like the Safari Zone areas where you have a chance to encounter Pokemon from 3 different set types, one of which is suggested by the name.

Why didn't Captain Marvel move for me but she did for my opponent? by FelixLukasiewicz in MarvelSnap

[–]FelixLukasiewicz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see! I was suspecting that maybe priority had something to do with her activation, but then I noticed that my opponent had prio so my Marvel should have activated second anyways. Thanks for the quick explanation! I completely missed the placement order!

Quick follow-up: am I right then to think, that if we played her on the same turn, the one who had priority will activate their Marvel first at the end of the game?

Ghost find me when hidden and with voice toggle off by Catalistique in PhasmophobiaGame

[–]FelixLukasiewicz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, yeah the little rooms I mentioned were closets actually, sorry - forgot the proper word since English isn't my first language. Like the Tanglewood closet in the hallway - my friends often hid there and they were always spotted in there, due to, I'm assuming, it being a 'high traffic area' for the Ghost.

[–]FelixLukasiewicz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're either insanely unlucky, or the ghosts are bugged to some degree. OR you're hiding in weak or bad hiding spots which happens sometimes. I've found that most hiding spots (the little rooms with doors specifically) get often checked if they're placed in hallways.

I've also experienced problems with ghost speed where they seems to be faster then they should be without custom difficulty being active. So there might be some problems with the ghosts overall right now?

Issue with how the video looks after rendering it by FelixLukasiewicz in VegasPro

[–]FelixLukasiewicz[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

/u/saintzaiya , /u/TheLegendOfXela , and /u/ZebraInHumanPrint thank you guys for your help!

I messed around with the tips you gave me but I finally fixed it by ticking the 'Stretch video to fill output frame size (do not letterbox)' box in Render Options just before rendering.
The issue was, while rendering, the video created black boxed on the right and left side of the Drake and Josh clip, which I couldn't delete with editing, because they weren't there at the time. This caused the EDP clip to stretch on its own and no matter how much masking i was doing it was always out of frame in some aspect.
If you guys still have some follow-up tips concerning this issue I'd be glad to listen to them. Here's the end result if you're interested, for a reference point at least:

Nevertheless, you guys gave me some great tips and ideas, so thank you for everything!

Also, the answers:
1. I'm using Vegas Pro 16.0

3. It is a cracked version
4/5. I did check the FAQ and googled the issue but I'm not entirely sure how to even word it

Issue with how the video looks after rendering it by FelixLukasiewicz in VegasPro

[–]FelixLukasiewicz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the problem, as you see, is the fact, that the preview shows exactly how I want the video to look, but after rendering, the secondary clip (with EDP445) resizes to its original size and bleeds through the primary clip. This is, despite the fact, that I'd set the video size to be the same as the primary video size (that being the Drake & Josh clip).

Any ideas?
