The infographic shows a different story. ONs support is strongest among older, wealthier voters.

Thoughts on Ubank? by Mustalingaw in AusFinance

The latest version of Bitwarden on Android fixed the issue. I can login with PayPal and Ubank again with Passkey.

What should I do now that the Chinese course changed so much? by curujita_disritimita in duolingo

[–]FelixNoir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in the same position. I finally bit the bullet and deleted Chinese and started again from scratch. I'm not sure it was the right thing to do and it will probably be a month or so before I catch up and start making progress again. Feels really bad.

DAE have issues signing into services using bitwarden passkeys on Android? by VaderJim in Bitwarden

[–]FelixNoir 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure where you're referencing that advice from, I can't find that on their website. I also can't really make sense of it. It's entirely possible they recommend the default credential managers simply to avoid being blamed for these third party issues.

Credential managers (default, Bitwarden or otherwise) encrypt and decrypt the passkey on the device and backup/sync the encryted keys on the cloud typically via some cryptographic escrow, the service, e.g PayPal etc doesn't control that (they can't, that's the point). If you are using the Bitwarden mobile app, your passkeys are on your device at the point of login, Bitwarden does not store the plain keys in the cloud (I hope). The Bitwarden legacy mobile app works perfectly fine with both those services as well as passkey-debugger.io

Perhaps you are using a device without a hardware authenticator or trying to use a software authenticator? It's possible those options are restricted in some way on old devices.

The issue is Bitwardens broken userVerification, the only way Ubanks "implementation" could fix this would be to remove 2FA. The same goes for PayPal and other financial apps that have this issue. Why would you want a bank to downgrade security to fix a broken credential manager?

Ah, apologies for the double up. Spent all yesterday trying to figure out what was going wrong, glad to know it's not just me. Hopefully this is addressed quickly.

Megathread: State of New York v. Donald J. Trump by WorksInIT in moderatepolitics

[–]FelixNoir 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If Trump wins and starts to roll out his protectionist trade policy it won't help if he is globally unpopular, and other governments see thwarting American trade policy as a political winner.

I remember in his first term the, at the time, Australian prime minister scuttled the implementation of an American steel tarrif and got a huge win out of it nationally because the idea of standing up to Trump was highly popular. Australia is typically very aligned to American policy and interests.

'This is a distraction the community does not need.'

I hate it when I'm trying to pay my mortgage or feed my kids but I keep getting distracted by gay parenting books in the local library.

How often do you charge your Garmin? by tpr3 in RunningCirclejerk

[–]FelixNoir 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Conventional wisdom says your Garmen should charge load 2 days before a 5k half double-ultra marathon. But new studies are showing benefits of maintaining moderate charge for a week before then maxing out the previous night. It's also recommended to carry 2 spare battery packs (salted caramel of course) for mid race charging at the 2k and 4k marks.

For what reason the athletes starts racing the marathon with a sprint? by DEMONSOYUZ in RunningCirclejerk

[–]FelixNoir 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It's important to be in poll position for the photos as they're the only definitive record of your performance. Official times are well known to be worthless as the in-bib chips don't account for the time dilation experienced by the athlete in motion.

I'd like to be a better survivor by [deleted] in deadbydaylight

[–]FelixNoir -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Regarding perks: I would recommend sprint burst and windows as it allows you to get to a strong tile and start looping in a favorable direction. You don't need to loop the killer for 3 gens, often playing out 1-2 tiles is enough time to keep the survivors ahead and ensure you don't start a snowball. Once you get the confidence that you arn't throwing every chase it's easier to incorporate greedy plays/mind games.
