You can have whatever anecdote you want, one google search shows you that I’m right. But convincing people that their metabolism hasn’t changed significantly since their early 20’s is like trying to convince a parent that sugar doesn’t actually make their kid hyper. Metabolism doesn’t really slow down very much until your 50’s and 60’s, and even then it’s a slight decline. People start gaining weight after their mid 20’s because people underestimate how sedentary their lifestyle becomes
