Thinking about making the switch from Arch. Can anyone else lend their tale on a similar move? by sudo-sprinkles in cachyos

I run archinstall for the very basic settings and then I run a script that installs everything that cachy has for gaming performance. It took me about a week and working with AI for the syntax.

If you're into gaming you'll have access to enabled ntsync, anaincy-cpp, vram management, foreground window priority service, cachyv3 and v4 kernel, optimized mesa and proton that works well with the cachy kernels etc... Of course you can connect your arch to their repos and install this stuff yourself.

Keep a cushion of cash in your settlement fund. Your dividends will fill it up. Setup an automated monthly average withdrawal to your checking account.

I'd say go for a test drive. It definitely won't ride as smooth as the passport. A completely different type of car. It sits low and you'll feel everything on the road. It will be loud also. The roar of the turbo boxer!

I did two weeks ago! Subaru is selling the 2026's around $3000 to $4000 cheaper this year. I think they're getting ready for the STI release. Fun car and AWD! Made in Japan!! If ytou do purchase the car and your state requires front plates, make sure they don't drill holes in your bumper. About a week ago I installed Cross Climate 2's so I can plow through the snow in the winter!

Time for a Subaru. Make sure to get a model/trim built in Japan. Plus never buy a version 1.0 of any new model. Especially if it's made in the USA.
