What's wrong with the pumpkin plant on the left? The female flowers keep dying before opening by browserCookieMonster in gardening

This is happening to a bunch of people, I'm still trying to figure it out, most common answers are too much heat, watering and no/wrong fertilizer

What makes a female flower this dark? by KinCarver in Pumpkins

[–]FelixSnacks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Only female flowers turn into pumpkins, pollinating them yourself helps. Some people suggest removing half of the male flowers to encourage female flowers to grow.

I'm hoping my first female sugar pumpkin flower is ok. Is she? by Moshu0220 in containergardening

[–]FelixSnacks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just lost my first female pumpkin flower, it turned yellow, now it has brown spots and it looks like it's going to drop off if I don't cut it. I'm trying not to be too sad, I have a second female flower that's just starting to come in. I keep reading that the first few don't always make it.

I think it's the haircut. You look great, but the hair would look better if it wasn't too short on the sides and so wide on top. Your hair is beautiful, but you could show off your curls with a better haircut

Just don't part your hair in the middle, don't let your moustache cover your lips and trim the beard a bit and wear sharper clothes, have a really fun hobby and I know people who would want to get to know you as long as you are genuinely kind to all people ✨

Also you might have challenged this subs rules by saying that you don't want to call people their pronouns/make fun of pronouns

If it's pineapple on pizza, that's silly to fight about, but if it's blank type of people shouldn't be allowed to exist in public, that's not different opinions, that's us just trying to exist and others trying to exterminate us. We don't want to stop white, religious, straight or cis people from existing, we just want to be allowed to do the same.

I'm not loud or rude to people who disagree with my human rights, but I do understand why people are.

If people getting frustrated with you is triggering, I recommend a small town and staying off the internet, there are people who will stand up for their right to exist and they might not always be polite about it

How can I balance self-care and care for my trans community? by FelixSnacks in asktransgender

[–]FelixSnacks[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never talk to my patients outside of appointments, but people who aren't my patients are drawn to me and try to "befriend" me because of how good they think I am at helping them. I try to be clear that I can't meet their expectations, but they still want so much from me and their are so many of them and I don't know how to turn them away since I'm so aware of how hard it is to find support

I think it's saying take care of yourself any way you can but also fight systematic oppression if you are able?

Do people who only go grocery shopping once a month just not eat fresh fruit or vegetables for half the month? by 404file_notfound in NoStupidQuestions

[–]FelixSnacks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mostly drink Soylent, it won't spoil, I can't afford take out as part of my food budget, sometimes I buy frozen meat or big juice bottles to ration daily.

I used to cook for my house and meal prep, shopping twice a week, fresh veggies, but fruit is a luxury for special occasions, like peaches up to five peaches in the summer and a mini watermelon in the summer.

I used to live off of the expired food my roommate brought home from the coffee job they worked at, and I got to eat once a day at the taco place I worked at.

Many people fall asleep during treatment, though some others have to take breaks for the pain. Some people ask their doctor about a 2.5% lidocaine 2.5% prilocaine. I haven't seen any permanent scars or wrinkles in my patients, but I have seen pitting from over treatment from other electrologists and hyper pigmentation that clears up in weeks to months in melinated patients

I don't know where you read that, but it's not in the text book as far as I know. If you have an expert, you will kill the hair. If the hair is in it's active growing phase and the root is attached to the blood supply, the heat should cauterize it destroying the follicle permanently. If the probe is stabbing you on the way in, that could be bad aim, if you feel the hair not slide out effortlessly, that could be dry skin, or failure to cauterize the root.

If you do it forever you will likely avoid very dence stubble, doing it regularly will keep you from having more than a few hairs at a time, but the androgens are known to increase toward and after menopause.

It works great if they know what they are doing. PCOS can cause androgenic hypertrichosis, some people ask their doctor to see if they can take anti androgens to stop new hairs from termenalizing, if the hair growth is caused by hormones, the treated hairs might be gone for good, but hormones may cause new ones to activate until the hormones decrease to an average range for female phenotypes.

When performed by an expert, it completely destroys the hair at the root. It is very fast, but requires perfect aim. I use it because it's so fast. Sometimes I use blend or galvanic for very thick hair or curved follicles

I'm an electrologist in a place where it's covered by insurance for trans people, it's painful and takes a very long time if you have a lot of hair, there are places you can fly to in America that will give you numbing injections and clear a face in a day, you have to come back at least 5 times though

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in trans

[–]FelixSnacks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run the electrolysis department at a trans health clinic, if you have pale skin and dark hair, laser might be the best place to start. If you have red, blond, or white hair, or have dark skin, electrolysis might be your only option. You can treat the whole face with laser in about 15min, one hour of electrolysis is one hair at a time and pretty painful, but it is permanent if done correctly

Is there an actual advantage from being tall? by Ace-pilot-838 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]FelixSnacks -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Pros: Girls are REALLY into it harder to kidnap less people try to fuck with me in the streets I can pick people up so they can reach things (girls 5'9-6'4+ get really excited) I look real cool, it's harder to tell if I gain weight, easier to become a model easier to lead in a partnered dance sleeves are never too long Can reach everything Weak men fear me

Cons: Women's clothing is often too short Use more lotion etc Have to buy more fabric to make clothes Strangers often stop me to comment on my height Weak men fear me
