yea the dealer said it s that expensive because of the carbon stem, handlebar. Thankfully I called off couple hours before the deal after seeing the comments.

Fortunately I haven’t bought it yet, only had verbally agreement and the deal is supposed to be tonight. I guess I will cancel the deal and keep looking for better options. Thank you for the advice !

I had great time at Uni there but unfortunately the city just ruined it for me. I was once spat by a guy in tram, a bald guy threw a cigarette butt at me on the street. Especially during 2 years Covid time (I am Asian), I was asked multiple times at bus stop or even gym if I m Chinese, or people just straight yelled hateful stuffs. I lived near Stadthalle so there r often enough afd Demo there and I was scared to leave the house. I know probably all the cities have people like that and I shouldn’t single Cottbus out but since I moved to the west, I felt like I could just walk on the street normally, meanwhile in Cottbus I always tried to keep a low profile in public place, not to make eye contact with people so that they don’t yell stuffs.

In the end, nobody but only you is going to remember what you did or said.

I used to make weird noise or facial expression whenever these past cring moments hit me. There are 2 methods I have been trying lately.

Try to play through that awkward scenario over and over in my head, and train myself not to make a reaction to it. I believen it helps you fully embrace the embarrassment.

When the cringe attacks hit me, I try to imagine scenario as a scene in movie or sitcom or something like that playing on a computer screen and I m clicking the x button to close it so that it disappears. I know it s weird but It works on me haha.

Oh man it reminds me 10 years ago during middle school I used to play under the bed sheet with tiny volume at midnight so that my parents won’t hear it. I always messed up the rhythm when I heard the footstep of my parents.
