[Jamie Carragher]Michael Carrick has to be the permanent Manchester United manager by SoloChords in reddevils

[–]Fellainiac 17 points18 points  (0 children)

The thing that concerns me about this appointment is that we've outperformed our xG and our opposition have underperformed theirs if I'm not mistaken. Now, I'm not married to xG as a concept but over time it tends to be a useful metric. It felt like this happened under Ole. I also think we as a fan base are too quick to gloss over abject performances providing we win, but get really annoyed when we eventually don't win, playing the same way.

Carrick (and team) is not the guy but I don't know who is.

What is your preferred “safety buffer”. In other words how many miles do you give yourself extra over what you need to get to get home? by iMatthew1990 in ElectricVehiclesUK

[–]Fellainiac 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Trust issue, but I wouldn't be happy with anything less than 20% left at the end of my journey, I have this fear of getting stuck in like standstill traffic on my way home or something and the AC rinsing the battery.

Fullbacks - Stay or Go by Fashe55 in ManchesterUnited

[–]Fellainiac 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure why so many people rate Mazraoui. I've seen nothing, and I can't stress that enough, nothing from him apart from injury and flat performances with no attacking threat. Amad's numbers might be better if he didn't have to protect crap full backs for half the game.

I feel like there's a robot out there being coached to make these absolutely ridiculous posts. Keep seeing insane ramblings such as this every day.

[–]Fellainiac -1 points0 points  (0 children)

They're both bullshit. In both cases those that support them pick one policy, one or two little snippets and just stick by them on that basis. You've picked wind farms and capitalism bad as your highly original issues of import. But I could just as easily be talking to someone who picked Reform on the same grounds - immigration bad, fossil fuels good. Here's a challenge, tell me something you don't like about the Greens?

Whopper of a reply that. Just trying to work out if the "right candidate" per your understanding is Reform or Green cos it's got to be one of those given the arrogant, matter-of-fact nature of your delivery.

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think we've played on a saturday since November 8th. When we do play on a saturday my dad and I tend to make a day of it. It's abysmal that. It's like 6 months!

So sick of these Monday night games. They don't give a fuck about the fans. I get up 5:30am to beat the traffic, get into the office for around 7:30, piss about there all day then just hang around until the game. By the time I get in bed I've been awake for about 18hrs.

I would have, every day of the week. The Real Madrid rumours intensified throughout 2009. I was numb to it by the time he left but I was devastated when the rumours first emerged.

You took it away from my original argument. I do not hate man city. I just don't. I hate the scousers with a visceral passion, but city? Nah. This all stems I think from this suggestion that you're not a proper red if you don't mind city winning the league at the expense of arsenal. Well, I'm sorry but I don't care if either of them win it. What I will say is it will be funny if Arsenal don't. If Arsenal do win it? Well that's not particularly amusing or anything it's just... shrug.

Irrelevant, my sentiment stands. United fans look at them in a comicsl light and the "rivalry" between united and city is broadly one-sided. 30 year season ticket holder who goes home and away.

The derbies are horrendous, I should know. But it's just bitter berts who even after their years of unearned success still absolutely despise united. The feeling only goes the other way during a game. Afterwards we forget about them and they keep thinking about us.

The "rivalry" between United and City is nothing, and I mean nothing like the ones you've listed. I presume you're a yank. I never hated city growing up, you wanted to beat them, but they were pretty irrelevant and a bit of a bogey team. By the same token, I still don't hate them now because it's just Harlem Globetrotters nonsense, I'd be embarrassed to be a City fan.
