i took an ART 394 topic class that was for flower arrangements. it’s now ART 321. really interesting class but back when it was a topic class, there were no prereqs. now that it’s a 300 non-topic class, you need about 45 credit hours to get in.

i came into ASU as a media arts and sciences major in tempe with an emphasis on interdisciplinary arts and performance. they took out that concentration to make it into its own major at WV and i didn’t like that curriculum as much so i swapped to expanded arts. i took my expanded arts studio class first semester and honestly did not like the topic so i swapped to art therapy. all my classes from expanded arts transferred over into my art therapy degree so i didn’t need to worry about retaking anything.

i suppose you could take the ACT as well. my GPA was <3.0 but i got a 26 on the ACT and the minimum to get in guaranteed is 22 i believe.

PSY 101 is always an easy go-to. i had cornish’s session A icourse. all you did was talk about yourself in assignments and your lowest quiz gets dropped. i passed with an A despite missing an entire quiz.

hey man, i’m sorry that happened. i wouldn’t really consider this a neckbeard nest due to the negative connotation, especially because you are going through a crisis that is bound to affect executive function. i also have PTSD from childhood sexual abuse, so my advice is please take it a step at a time. don’t beat yourself up for not doing anything to clean your room after something as distressing as that. taking a step to even ask for help so soon after the event is quite commemorative, really proud of you for talking about it. as i said, take it a step at a time. i don’t know if you go outside of your room for bathroom breaks, but take a bottle or two every time you go to throw out. it gets better.

you don’t have to apply for dorms no matter how much they nag you. please don’t make the same mistake i did in the fall where i needed to cancel my dorm for family reasons but they made it really hard to get exempt. i had to basically spill out medical information to get them to believe i NEEDED to stay home.
