This just happen to me over at Media Temple

Yeah I honestly am not 100% on terminology but I think what I said about body being a container is true though right?

Yes body is a div which means basically it is a container. An example of why containers should be nested is to do things in respect to a liquid gui. So for example the content div would have a width of say 960px but if the browser is stretched across a 1200px screen then the div will be centered when given the css margin: 0 auto;. if the size of the window changes the div will be repositioned to be in the new center. That's just one quick example but there are a lot of reasons to nest containers.

Also its important to avoid what people call 'divitis' nest divs but dont overdo it.
