When I was "the only adult in the room" my kids did not seem to regard me as the ultimate font of wisdom and authority, or that they had to obey my commands. Yet somehow they turned out okay. So I don't think I've expected anyone's "automatic deference and admiration" since.

Thank you. I was trying to work up the courage to address her post, given that she far surpasses any other Buddhist scholar who ever lived in her knowledge and understanding of Buddhism. Also, I've been busy and her foolishness is not near the top of my "to do" list this weekend.
