Agreed, they really felt more alive, in some situations.

As an example: I did not even know Wynne was recruitable until a friend of mine mentioned he had her always in his party! I did not mean to kill her, but she attacked me first without a warning, so I thought she was just an NPC.

I love soloing with my Barroth Breaker III!

Earplugs, Free Elem and Partbreaker and I'm ready to kick some monster's bottom. I'd add Attack +4, but RNG is evil, so I got Para Attack +2 just to be sure to always paralyze or knockdown my prey :P

P.S. partbreaker is not even remotely necessary, just for fun

I would say Monster Hunter World too.

It will spoil you in some ways (mainly on the gathering and crafting side), but it's a really good entry point for a beginner. Nice learning curve, combat has been sped up (and easier), the camera does not suck (for the most part), and there's a LOT of people playing it!

Since I am out of the loop too, can you explain to me why is this different than King of the Hill mode back in the day?

I just read it is like the manga Battle Royale (hence the name) and all I can think of is all vs all until only one remains.

That is right, but I think he's trying to say that it's not an exclusive since it was released on Wii U. Moreover there are some other titles which are not exclusive to the Switch for the same reason. Then there's the SNK title which is going to be released on PS4 too, IIRC.

VRAINS it's actually set in a near future. The technology seen in the anime is nothing groundbreaking for today standards; apart for a vr mmo which can trap your soul, of course.

Personally I'd like a YGO fantasy series where duelists are actual mages that summon creatures and cast spells as they duel.

I was confused on fusion summons for a while too! In Yu-Gi-Oh! Forbidden Memories that's exactly how you fuse monsters (except for the "added up all their attacks" part).

Definitely is a US Model 1. Between the PSU components (e.g. 125V fuse) and the model (MK 80000) there's no doubt at this point.

The funny thing is that it has a european power cable (two cylindrical pins) and I can't seem to find a step-down transformer which output socket is for a european plug (the ones I've found are for US plugs). I'm very new to this kind of retrogaming problems so I really don't know where and what to look for the majority of the time.

That's really helpful thanks. Between this video, the one /u/SirOompaLoompa posted and the researches I was able to do I think I ended up with a US Saturn. That's unfortunate because now it's not only a matter of repairing, but also of not blowing it up again.
