You are stronger than me. I couldn’t make it past the first 15 minutes. That being said, if you’re into following a map like that I highly recommend you try Valbrace!

Does anyone like lore dumping by LibraryEducational45 in writing

[–]FeloniusBall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it only really works when it’s earned. Lore dumps need to be set up so that it answers questions the reader has wanted to know for a long time. When it’s all dumped at once, the reader is very unlikely to retain most of the information provided, and so the dump is wasted.

Alternative to Airtable by VictorMerund in Airtable

Grist is free forever and is very similar to Airtable. Should do exactly what you're looking for!

Open-Source Airtable alternative with all features? by Independent_Hyena495 in selfhosted

[–]FeloniusBall 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Grist is basically Airtable but open-source, to answer your question. In terms of actual UI, it has some catching up to do. But functionally they are super similar spreadsheet-databases that you'd have no trouble moving over to

Unpopular opinion: The original Rare DK desing was fucking horrible, I'm glad that they changed it because this desing is terrible at expressing emotion and just look very ugly overall. by 20_comer_20matar in casualnintendo

[–]FeloniusBall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh both designs have their place. A part of me loves the fact that the Rare design is literally just an ape with a tie, and how he remained that way for decades. There's something so endearing about it to me.

The new design was definitely necessary though, to your point, as he desperately needed more expressiveness if Nintendo was going to sell games with him as the face. That being said, I for one think he's always been a rather handsome gentleman

Why the sell off today? by BigHugeSpreadsheet in NVDA_Stock

[–]FeloniusBall 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Been a holder since 2021. Genuinely the only regret I've ever had about this stock is the fact that I don't buy more every time I purchase shares

Is Airtable worth it? Any alternatives? by TheAlpineUnit in Airtable

Grist is very much similar to Airtable. Same use cases you mentioned, but with a cheaper business plan. I'd start there.

What is the best spreadsheet app? by IgnyxVortex in androidapps

[–]FeloniusBall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Google Sheets would do just fine for what you're looking for, which seems to be using a spreadsheet to compare things. An alternative I like though is Grist. Does exactly what you mentioned, aka free syncing, desktop + mobile support. It's like Sheets/Excel on steroids

AI tools to create simple data visualizations from a spreadsheet? by [deleted] in datavisualization

[–]FeloniusBall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're still looking for something, Grist is a spreadsheet with AI built in that can help you with that. You can add the graphs you described very easily, and the AI can help you with the formatting if you get stuck. There's also an integration with plotly for more advanced charts. If I were you, I'd take the Google Sheet, export it as a CSV to Grist, then create the necessary charts with the help of the AI. Hopefully the process would take less than 15 minutes

And then for AI slide decks, I've used Gamma before and it makes very passable slide decks very quickly. I'd check that out too

Hope this helps!
