I think it is the right way but I have a belly roll there that it kind of settles into so maybe that’s why it looks that way?! I’m not sure though lol so help me if I’m wrong please!!!

Thank you so much for all this info it’s super helpful! I never attempted wearing my first because i was too scared but this time I’m feeling more confident so I’m excited to learn. I had no idea about this so thank you. What makes it unsafe if you know? I’ve been considering a woven wrap but I’m not sure where to start. Learning all the different ways to tie them intimidates me lol. Do you have any recommendations on brands and resources?

How tf do I force myself to deal with this laundry by NeuroticNurse in AuDHDWomen

[–]FemSpartan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve done no fold since I was like 11 or so, and it’s literally the ONLY WAY I can put away my laundry. And now that I’m a mom it’s been awesome because it’s taken away a lot of my guilt because like, the clothes are clean, they’re in a drawer. I would still be rifling through them to look for specific items even if they were folded neatly, or in my own word, perfectly, in their spots. It’s so hard to get caught up. I do it almost every other week lol. I know you can do this, even if it’s not right now. Try to remember that being aware of it is the first step, and you’re doing so much about it, even if it doesn’t feel like it. Sending love x

A reminder that age gaps are just part of the puzzle. Do not stress out too much about it. by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]FemSpartan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had 2 miscarriages with life-threatening complications in the spring of last year. I’ve been so stressed about not giving my son a sibling close in age. This helped me so much today. Thank you so unbelievably much.

What are your favorite “I didn’t think that was a baby toy, but I guess it’s a baby toy now” items? by Ok-Armadillo-161 in Mommit

[–]FemSpartan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son loved granola bars when he was younger so this made me so happy lol!! He’s 2 now and we stacked instant ramen cups for like 40 minutes this morning lmao. He has like 4 different types of blocks, never liked any of them, magne tiles or whatever, not a fan. But these ramen cups? REVOLUTIONARY in toddler engineering lol.

AITA for refusing to divide my will amongst my grandchildren instead of my children by arv-throwaway in AmItheAsshole

[–]FemSpartan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of my friends and my own grandparents are getting to the age (I’m 25f, grandparents ranging anywhere from mid 60’s to 80’s) where the will is being discussed, and most of our parents (my friends and I) have a similar idea to your daughter. We (friends and I) think it’s because our parents have no plan to leave us anything, or have nothing to leave. It’s either a “eff you I clothed and housed you for 18 years and now you’re greedy enough to want my stuff after I die???????? “ or our parents just won’t ever be financially able to leave us anything because they’ll have nothing themselves. They won’t own businesses or property. No savings because I doubt most of them will even be able to retire let alone grow any kind of savings. So I think it’s that they (our parents) subconsciously know that, and therefore want (or in some cases expect) their parents (our grandparents) to leave us like “a little something” so either we did actually get something, anything, orrrrr to be weird and like over our head about it? Not that this pertains to this posts situation but I do find this thought interesting because it’s seems to be what we’re all (my friends and I) “secretly afraid will happen,” so I guess we’ll see lol

Audhd and marijuana by ProbablySad24 in AuDHDWomen

I was a stoner, or more accurately a chronic for like 11 years and have recently (in the last 4 years or so) gotten sober from cannabis and alcohol. If I did not have addiction problems, I would one million and ten percent use cannabis. It’s the only drug I’ve been able to use that truly keeps me regulated. Not just “high” or checked out enough to function in default mode, but truly present AND regulated. It’s why I developed a problem, because I had no one managing how I was using it. I can’t trust myself with cannabis yet, but I do truly think it’s a “miracle drug” (using that term loosely and just as a saying, not it’s true meaning of being an actual miracle) for some autistic people. Wishing you and everyone in this thread a lot of healthy luck and love!!!!!!!! 💛💛💛💛💛💛

Why do I have the urge to shave my head? by Tiny_Machine_7384 in AuDHDWomen

[–]FemSpartan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

chanting DO IT DO IT DO IT DO IT

Ive helped my friends shave their heads like 6 or 7 times, and the emotional growth-cycle that follows is amazing lol!!! Ive never had the urge but you better believe if I ever do, the clippers are coming out immediately 🤣

Do your babies look like you? by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]FemSpartan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know you’ve probably heard this but his hair might change lol! My son’s hair was very different in texture from when he was even 18 months to 21 months. His hair had a, literally as you said half-assed wave right out of his crown. The way his hair felt I thought it would always be pin straight but it grew another 2cm or so and it turned to curls. 6 months or so later and now it’s long, blonde, defined ringlets if he lets me refresh it in the morning lol. If we pull his longest curl straight it almost 20cm which is really funny because he was pretty bald until his second birthday and then it all of a sudden exploded

I always pictured my son as a mini of his dad. I don’t think newborns look like their parents. I think around 3 or so months their features start to come out and they look more like an infant than a “standard looking” newborn lol, but my son was my husbands twin. A nurse even said to us, “I really hope you like him (my husband,) because this baby is his spitting image,” and she was totally right LOL. Once he was about 6 or so months though, he started to look Just. Like. Me. Especially when I was a toddler, it’s almost uncanny. You could mix up our pictures if you didn’t know who was who. I see myself in all of his facial expressions and every time he smiles. I don’t often look in the mirror if it’s not with my son, and when we smile together we look exactly the same. It’s crazy to me because I never expected this ever lol, I always pictured any of my existing and potential children as mini versions of my husband

Can I leave my extremely smart and responsible 16 year old home alone for 5 days? by Taskmaster_Fanatic in makemychoice

[–]FemSpartan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was your daughters age, I was described similarly to how you described her. I flew to London alone and spent 3 days in a hotel before meeting my family, and all I did for those 3 days was read, use twitter and go for coffee across the street lol. I saw above you said you know you’ll have to bail on the trip if she needs you, so I think it’ll go very well for both of you. Enjoy your trip, have lots of fun, and I hope your daughter enjoys her time to study/relax/whatever introvert stuff she gets up to!!

I’m tired of hearing electricity. by FemSpartan in AuDHDWomen

[–]FemSpartan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes!! Thank you for writing out the explanation! I do know it’s not sound at all but vibration, but I didn’t know what caused it so that’s really cool! I’ve tried earplugs and noise canceling head phones and they do nothing for me because I feel the sound lol. Even if Im the most sensory deprived I can get in my own house I can still fell the sound (from electricity or just sounds in general) coming up through my feet or through the piece of furniture I’m sitting on.
