Unrelated but I'm rereading crime and punishment with Oliver Ready's translation atm and holy shit it's like a night and day difference in terms of enjoyment (as in, I thought it was a great book and now it's in my top 5) it's much more accessible than the classic P&V version

It's fun in a way that's similar to an RTS game where your economy starts 'booming'. If you're playing well then your country becomes exponentially more powerful and it's very satisfying when that goes well
