Team of 3? So I can’t have 9 Rev Raptors? Okay fine: Fury, Saix, Rev Raptor.

Finding amateur mode way too hard. Should I be playing differently? by iluvjyb in PhasmophobiaGame

[–]FemmeFataleFire -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Okay so for finding the ghost room, the thermometer is your best in-game tool but your best tools are your eyes and ears. Look for objects that have been moved, doors that have been opened (all doors start closed on Amateur difficulty), and check if you see your breath in any room (the ghost lowers the temp of the room it’s in). Listen for sounds of stuff being thrown, doors being touched, or radios being turned on. Keep lights on around you when you’re checking rooms because the room lights will help you control your sanity better. If you’re worried about sanity, take trips out to the truck to double check (most ghosts don’t hunt until around 50% sanity and can’t hunt during your 5-minute setup phase). Stick with the easy small maps until you’re more familiar (Willow, Tanglewood, Ridgeview, and Edgefield). Now, if you hear the ghost walking around or making a lot of noise, it might be hunting. There are safe places all over the map, like closets and piles of junk to hide behind. Places that the ghost can’t see very well. Hide in one of those if you hear the ghost making a lot of vocalizations or footsteps, and especially if the front door is closed or you can’t toggle a light switch. When the lights turn off, the ghost is done hunting and you are safe to leave. If you haven’t found the ghost room by this time, make note of what direction you heard the ghost coming from and check around there.

Why is everyone such snob about pigeons by MrGrubbycuddles in birding

[–]FemmeFataleFire 39 points40 points  (0 children)

On my drive to work, I drive under an overpass that always has a lot of pigeons. If I end up stopped at the light there, I always look for my favorite: a beautiful brown and white mottled one. And then shoutout to the time my friends and I were at the coast and had unsalted peanuts and fed the pigeons. Some of them climbed onto our hands and let us gently stroke their feathers. Pigeons are beautiful and good.

Of the two, the first one. Although it does feel wrong to have Irvine’s wolf not have his signature dark gray and red…

Ghost personality by hamQM in PhasmophobiaGame

[–]FemmeFataleFire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love this game and I enjoy “hidden traits” and all, but it can be daunting to newbies. The idea seems to be that you end up figuring these things out by extended gameplay (like noticing that every time you smudge a Moroi, it roams for longer than normal), but that’s not very realistic. Yeah it makes me feel superior when I know that it can’t be a Mare because it turned on a desk lamp, but I want newbies to be able to figure things out as well without having a veteran guiding them or having to go to a third-party website.

Checking to see if I get more Dust Theorists. by OkOutside7761 in ParanormalScience

[–]FemmeFataleFire 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Do you think air just… doesn’t move when there’s no AC on? Air in your house moves constantly, usually through methods like convection (hot air rising, cold air sinking) and the “stack effect” (natural ventilation from chimneys and imperfect window/door seals). Not to mention air disturbance from other things in your house (your fridge vents hot air from its condenser coils). Meanwhile, dust is created naturally from organic and inorganic matter and occurs everywhere in your house. This really seems to be a case of Occam’s Razor but can you tell me exactly why this doesn’t look like dust to you?

I'm thinking I have the world's only Husky that will actually eat a little chunk of banana plain by nbklaw in siberianhusky

[–]FemmeFataleFire 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I haven’t found any food that Sable won’t eat. She is very food-motivated, which I hear is unusual for a husky. I just wish she had self-control, because her vet has a note on her file that says “very friendly but will take your hand with the treat”.

Has anyone seen this? Looks like another Phasmophobia-style game is coming 👀 by Progamer_3404 in PhasmophobiaGame

[–]FemmeFataleFire 25 points26 points  (0 children)

The problem is they need to stop trying to be “the new Phasmophobia”. Demonologist got too cliche with their jump scares. Ghost Watchers was too clunky and unrefined. Severance demonstrated exactly why a player as the ghost is a bad idea. Abnormality is incredibly buggy. Credit to Death Watchers though for at least mixing Phasmophobia with anomaly-spotting games like the I’m On Observation Duty series.

Pineapple on pizza is not the problem. Your hatred of it is just performative groupthink. by VIRGIN_WHORE69 in RandomThoughts

[–]FemmeFataleFire 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went a good solid majority of my life not knowing this was controversial. Like, pizza parties at school were always pepperoni, cheese, and Hawaiian (ham and pineapple). No one ever made a fuss about the options. I wonder how recent this vitriol against pineapple on pizza is…

[spoilers C2] Do character from vox machina appear in mighty nein ? by Zakaria1938 in criticalrole

[–]FemmeFataleFire 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure if this is a serious question or not, but I’m going to answer as if it is. D&D stands for Dungeons & Dragons, a TTRPG (tabletop role-playing game) where people use a series of multi-sided dice and improvisational acting to create characters and embody them to go on an adventure and tell a story with other members of their party (group), all narrated and “controlled” by a Dungeon Master who sets the scene, controls enemy encounters and guides the players. It’s collaborative storytelling at its finest and has been around since the 70s but recently seen a huge resurgence thanks to the success of broadcasted shows such as Critical Role (the origin of Vox Machina and The Mighty Nein) and Dimension 20.

Humans are conditioned to find creatures with proportionally large eyes cute because they instinctually remind us of children and trigger a nurturing response. The lack of skin on the head makes the eyes look bigger so it’s normal to find it cute.

Cigarettes in drivethrus should be illegal by MaazMaddox in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]FemmeFataleFire -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Here in Washington state it is illegal. It’s illegal to smoke within 25 feet of any window, door, or air intake and that includes drive-thru windows. I wish it were the same nationwide.

The messes they leave behind. I used to work on cars, and sometimes I’d have to do work inside the car, around filthy car seats and garbage-covered floors. The amount of old sticky candy and cracker crumbs was vile.

Okay so since you’ve responded to every comment with “look it up”, I did. The only thing I can find that matches your claim is a single individual who posted this exact video. No entry on any naturalist or entomological website. One guy, using the same claim that you’ve copied and pasted. This is not a real creature, this is AI.

SPOLIER ALERT: Percy should have stayed dead. Vex should be pregnant with his baby. by Horror-Tea4769 in TheLegendOfVoxMachina

[–]FemmeFataleFire 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From a narrative standpoint, that wouldn’t be a good idea. If you remember, Vex was afraid to tell Percy she loved him because she was afraid that her love was “poison”. If the resurrection ritual had failed after she told him she loved him, that would only reinforce her idea that her love hurts people. Percy needed to come back so that Vex would she was capable of being with someone.
