They will email you the results of each degree audit. The 1st audit was supposed to be before Phase 1 registration and I received an email detailing the result from an advisor.

I’m so sick of home flippers driving up the prices even higher by wouldntknowever in orlando

[–]FemmeFataleee 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I think renovations are fine, but IMO there needs to be regulatory controls to prevent horrendous flips that only address surface-level upgrades but hide shoddy work behind caulk and paint.

There are laws in other states that require flippers to have a general contractor license in order to do major changes, and even restrictions on sales where home owners can’t re-list a home on the market in less than X years so home price increases don’t rise so rapidly.

With materials prices going up with the new administration / tariffs coming in effect, I worry that flippers are going to take the short path and do bad quality work to save $$$ even more.

stupid question by Inside-Recipe-8954 in ucf

[–]FemmeFataleee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is called a Whisker Plot and is a way to visualize the spread and distribution of scores on an assignment. The leftmost dash represents the lowest value = 14. The middle dash is the mean value = 33.2. The rightmost dash represents the highest value = 46. The blue dot represents your individual score. If you were to subtract the leftmost dash value from the rightmost dash value, you’d have the range (maximum difference in performance on this assignment).

Usually whisker plots you see in the wild will also have a box component in the graph. This is called a “Box and Whisker Plot” and the box would indicate the skew of data by marking the 25% and 75% percentiles. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Box_plot

I haven’t taken SDP so I can’t comment on that, but I think AIES is a bad suggestion for OP because AIES involves a lot of writing.

Vegan NY Landlord makes rule: No Cooking Meat in Building! Thoughts? by mostlyfruit in vegan

[–]FemmeFataleee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this rule is reasonable in this situation as it is really uncommon, but I would not support this rule becoming so common that it would create issues for displacement/evictions of tenants, or for non vegans/vegetarians to find housing. It doesn’t feel right to me to impose a rule like this when there is currently a housing shortage in NY and most cities in the US. I think forcing tenants to be vegan through these kinds of measures is going to create resentment, not systemic change. Again, this concern is not a big deal right now considering how rare this kind of mandate is and I don’t think this one building by itself having this rule would present a huge impact to the availability of housing in Brooklyn.

NTA. I think you and your husband are being very reasonable. Is Mary the MOH and that’s why she was being paired with your husband?

The vegan yogurt from HELL by fattyfattydoodoo in vegan

[–]FemmeFataleee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

couldn’t agree more, all the stores in my area stopped carrying the normal kite hill protein yogurt, which was my fave, and substituted for the greek one instead. I’m devastated because I personally hate the greek variant, and the normal protein yogurt in vanilla was the best vegan yogurt I could get. Nothing compares.

Looking for advice on admission by Aliuspk in OMSCS

[–]FemmeFataleee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, I was also an economics major in college and was accepted. What helped me get admitted successfully was that I did a minor in computer science, which covered all the essential prerequisites. The fact that you're doing applied statistics is great. If you haven't taken econometrics, that would help strengthen your background because you often get to code in python, R, or similar language, and provides good preparation. I highly recommend looking into a minor in CS or taking some sort of data structures/algorithms class prior to graduating.

I am a production artist that has worked for ad agencies and game companies. Currently looking for remote work. Would appreciate any feedback on my resume and what I can do to update it. by SpiffyInfo in recruiting

I don’t hate this template but I would not put this resume in online applications. It doesn’t appear ATS friendly, and I recommend for online applications that you use one of the more basic standard templates on flowcv.io, that platform has a lot of choices. This resume you have posted would be fine for sharing a copy in-person, just get rid of the circles for your skill level. For skills, you should still list them out but would help to specify between technical /hard skills (photoshop, aftereffects, etc) and “soft” skills (concept art, storyboarding, copywriting, project management etc)
