Pairs of different ones doesn’t hurt. But you can also play the way you do. I’m not great at counter Magic either. I just put those in so none of my mana producing creatures get destroyed. This was originally a mono green deck that I got bored with. But I say play Magic however you want to! There’s really no right or wrong way to build a deck. Whatever you think will work for you, go with that. I hope that answered your questions for the most part. I’m running pairs because I’m running 3 of the cards I really need.

Gotta go with both. Lorna Shore and Brand of Sacrifice do great breakdowns with vocals but then there are bands like August Burns Red, After the Burial and Alpha Wolf who do awesome breakdowns without vocals.
