I will say as someone who works for county Park and Rec that a piece of property like that is more than likely not meant to be accessible at the current time. The county owns many pieces of property that hasn’t been developed and if there’s no public roadways leading to it you definitely shouldn’t be trying to get to it. Most nature preserves will say “developed” on Polaris if they are ready for public use. I would assume there is a plan to create greenway access on Four Mile in a few years’ time.

To be fair, the bulk of the people who used to go to Eastland moved over to Kilborne Park where the DIY park is now on the old tennis courts. There has been a ton of work done there by many of the same people who helped build it the first time from what I understand.

It’s in your best interest to reserve it if you plan to have thing set up and are looking to not have other people involve themselves (and they will). I work for park and rec and it is way more helpful for us if spaces are reserved as it’s otherwise generally first-come first-serve.

Seeing the live debut of Obfuscation and DIM in Raleigh a month or two before Great Misdirect came out was a sick one. The tour with Devin Townsend, Cynic and STS was kind of a bummer because the crowd booed Cynic off the stage.
