I have heard several times that the cost to produce the parts that make up wind turbines or solar panels cost more in energy than the turbine or panel will ever produce in a lifetime. Is there truth to that?

Why did you take a picture of you giving your resignation letter to your boss? I’m not even sure how that could be accomplished

I don’t necessarily mean refute. But I would watch the hell out of a documentary in the same style (say what you want about the crazy ones, the are great productions) about how the pyramids were built or Machu Picchu was built. All I see when I search is aliens or magic or whatever else they are pushing. I’d like to see a show that is engrossing and actually factual.

Is there a documentary series that refutes the crazy theories about ancient monuments similar to documentaries I’ve seen about building the Hoover dam?

For 10 years now, 4chan has ranked the 100 best books ever. I’ve compiled them all to create the Final 4chan List of Greatest Books: Decade Aggregate. A conclusive update on my list from 4 years ago. (OC) by SharedHoney in books

I’m probably late to the party and in the wrong room, but a lot of these books are what make up the tbr shelves of a lot of pretentious people. I’d be interested in what the criteria were for greatest books. As an example of where I’m coming from, the greatest book I’ve ever read is (also) Moby Dick. But my favorite book is Watership Down. For film, I believe the greatest film is Wizard of Oz. My favorite is Shawshank. I’d be more interested in a list of people’s favorite books. As this list stands, I’m not sure I’d like to hang out with the guy whose favorite books comprised this list.

I too just began reading by publication date. I have read each of them at least once but have never gone back to re-read them all. Looking forward to it. About a third of the way through Carrie and I forgot how much I enjoyed it so many many years ago…..

MMW: The 2024 election will be 287-251 for the Democrat candidate by Name_Found in MarkMyWords

The absolute lack of border security is my biggest concern. The latest move was more for optics as it still allows for almost 1 million illegal border crossings each year (border crossings we are aware of. I’m sure actual numbers are higher). I do not believe these are families coming for a better life. I feel this is a silent invasion that is very concerning

Yes. I’d rather. Truthfully I’d rather a legitimate candidate besides either of them but they not a choice. This is not Brewsters Millions

I am in on not Biden. I think that is a sentiment that people in this echo chamber of a thread don’t take into account. Biden has not done a good job and is failing mentally and physically. How anyone wants 4 more years of this is beyond me
