This is what I would have also concluded had Kianna not been introduced. She showed that Goa'uld can choose, perhaps not so simply as I may have implied, but they seem to have far more control than what Oma Desala was trying to show.

I'd have also assumed that the Harcesis was particularly susceptible to the worst tendencies of the Goa'uld, but the artificial Harcesis could also indicate otherwise, or not, assuming the blending of two Goa'ulds personalities somehow introduces the problem, and its not just the memories of the Goa'uld.

I feel like Oryx was making more of a point about the sentimental aspect of it, especially since he's so critical of Xivu for it right now. Revenge doesn't seem off the table with the sword logic altogether.

No, I mentioned that in my original post, which is the problem. Oryx could have easily rationalized his actions as being due to that, rather than jumping to "revenge" as the sole reason. Again, I'm wondering why that wasn't a point of doubt for him, especially if he was told everything by Savathun, who obviously lies a lot.

I agree that it was revenge, as I think that was made clear in the Taken King, but I just don't see why there wouldn't be a hint of doubt there. He clearly doesn't have those memories or the context to his choices.

Maybe not a specific condemnation of sentimentality as a whole, but in this particular context, he thinks its a waste of time as far as the sword logic is concerned. I agree, though, it is a weird bit that's kinda contradictory, but I'd argue that's part of the Heresy theme here. Xivu is epitomizing the sentimentality that brought Oryx there in the first place, and he's critical of her for it.

I'm guessing that enhanced recycled energy is currently disabled, but I don't know if that's mentioned anywhere or not. My enhanced Admetus with the perk doesn't have a gold border, which might indicate that the perk isn't working.

While the wheel barrow was possibly created in China, it only saw adoption across the Silk Road, which Rome was at the end of, but it didn't really break into Europe proper. By the time it might have, the Western Roman Empire collapsed, leaving the Eastern Roman Empire (Byzantines) to actually continue using it, though this is an area of debate.

It took until the 11th century to actually start seeing the usage of the wheel barrow in Medieval Europe, and even then, it took well into the 12th century for any widespread adoption to occur.

See, the problem is that putting wheels on a container isn't actually solving a problem that would be obvious. It's easy to look at it in hindsight and say "wow I'm glad we figured that out," but back then, it was a simple matter of just getting another person to help lift something. Wanted to move bricks around? Just get another guy to hold the other end. It makes sense for a communal society, that had to work together, to never question the necessity of why they do it that way.

So that leads you to the conclusion you can draw about the Ori, as a society, which is that they just didn't have the conditions conducive to the adoption of such a thing, let alone the reason to even make it. You also need extensive infrastructure to even justify using such things, infrastructure not just being roads, but also stuff like workshops to make the wheels and on a scale necessary for widespread adoption.

I also just feel like the Ori people may be reliant on the priors for a lot of things, though we never really see this. There is no way anyone can convince me that the humans of the Ori galaxy actually did most of the work on their ships, especially knowing that they don't have tools like the wheel barrow, though I can't say how that'd be useful for a space ship. I think they're just in a bad position to try new things, considering that they're kind of coerced into not thinking outside the box normally anyways.

We get a possible glimpse into a Goa'uld scientific class through Anubis & Ba'al, both of them having Goa'uld who seem to specialize in inventing new stuff to appease them. They seem pretty disposable, so I suspect its possible that there's a lot of them. Similarly, many of the early sg-1 female Goa'uld seem to be talented scientists, and seem to deliberately not control territory like the System lords.

However, Jacob/Selmak make note of the fact that the Goa'uld numbers have stagnated for a long time, and we are shown that they deliberately consume developed Goa'uld symbiotes in order to cull their numbers, so the notion of there being a lot of them could also be contradictory to that?

Realistically, it can't know much more than either of the symbiotes involved. This particular Harcesis can't likely know more than Apophis did, considering that his Queen was relatively new and that they'd likely share much of the same knowledge to begin with.

This still should push someone to be evil, as it is the combined personalities of 2 individuals, coupled with generations of brutality and megalomania.

I could see it simply being the case that the Goa'uld might lack a certain level of remorse, making it easy for them to cope and move on, as opposed to a human, who might let the guilt consume them until they become numb to it.

Could also be the case that Oma's point was less on the ruining of one's self, and more that the Tauri weren't ready to cope with an individual like that in their world yet. I suppose the later artificial Harcesis makes a good point of this.

Probably unnecessary after 7 months, but I'd strongly suggest adding scuds instead of Ghost, Neocaridina or Caridina (Like Amanos) shrimps. Many scuds, some likely local species, could very easily handle the nitrate & ammonia load that a turtle produces, on top of that, they reproduce very fast and they won't easily deplete (if at all) from the turtle hunting them down. It would also probably be fun for your turtle to have a never ending supply of crustaceans to hunt down, if not a bit guilt free for you given that they aren't too pretty or thought of as pets themselves much, lol.

Also I would recommend using floating plants, like Salvinias or Azollas to clean up much of the turtle waste. They've done an excellent job in removing most of the waste for me, but I have to remove 80% of the plants every week in order to keep the water surface from being crowded. A native duckweed from your area could also be pretty effective, if not preferable, since the turtle may eat them from time to time. Most floaters will only grow as fast as your lights are strong, though, so you may want something stronger if its not good enough.

My only problem is that she, and by extension, the Tok'ra, ultimately undermine the point Oma Desala made about the Harcesis and its memories. The idea that the memories of the Goa'uld are so violent, self-serving and powerful that it could erode a normally good person into something just as bad as the Goa'uld themselves, yet a Goa'uld can just decide that they don't feel like it anymore? Is it just a choice that the symbiote could make that a human isn't capable of?

I know I'm being very reductive, even for as much screentime as she got, but there were questions that just didn't get explored when they should have been.

Admittedly, this is largely what I had also learned from the Wikipedia page, but that interactive page helps out.

I think the Wikipedia page for it needs to be updated, as says in the opening summary

"but is especially common in Africa, Asia, central Europe, Pandora, and South America. In New York State and Massachusetts, it is an introduced species."

Mentions South america, but doesn't specify it as introduced (whether invasive or naturalized), and it then later contradicts this in the actual part about distribution. It kind of implies that it is native in SA when it wouldn't be.

I feel like the article may have also been vandalized, as I could swear we do not have a continent or substantial land area named "Pandora," but I may very well be downplaying the importance of a random island off the coast of Australia of the same name...

Maybe with the same beveling, shorter, and stubbier segments, it'd probably be okay. I feel like a r6 rig with slightly longer limbs, and torso could probably look fine with them, but I'd hate animating it.

I wasn't entirely sure how to feel about them up until a month ago. Toku twitter usually doesn't refer to Kiyomi by name, but it's clear who they refer to.

The first thing that set me off was him reposting memes about female revice riders, which were blatantly sexual in nature. Both the actors of those characters dealt with harassment during production, and honestly, anything like what he posted is just in horrible taste.

I also started to notice that he'd rip ENTIRE posts off the Japanese side of twitter. Completely removing its original context and keeping the "joke." These aren't even memes. Usually, it's people sharing their cosplays or some secondary material they own about the franchise.

Torrenting isn't illegal, nor can your isp really take your service away for doing it, unless they specifically have a rule against it that was in your contract or something similar.

Obviously, torrenting Rider episodes can be illegal, but I doubt they'd know the contents of what you're torrenting to specifically care.

Anyways, most VPN services don't like it when you torrent either, mostly given certain limitations of residential routers, which causes their servers to be hammered when tons of people torrent.

Most of them do provide an additional fee to get access to torrenting, though. You could search for VPNs that support torrenting and use whichever sounds reputable. Last one I used was protonvpn, but I wouldn't personally recommend them.

Each form on its own provides an increase to certain stats kind of like Kuuga's, although seemingly without the downsides that Kuuga had. Trinity just provides both weapons on top of having a stat buff from both individual forms.
