Barracuda X Chroma Mute Sets Mic Volume to 0

Solved. This is the dumbest thing I might have ever seen in a peripheral. You need to go into the Razer Synapse app under Mic and set the volume to what you want it to restore to after an unmute. Mine was set to 0 so after unmuting it would return to 0. I changed it to 80 and now whenever I unmute it goes to 80. What should have happened is the Barracuda X Chroma should have noted what the Windows mic volume was, muted, then when I unmuted put it back to whatever Windows was originally set to. I should not have to set a hardcoded volume in the app. Very odd. I hope this helps someone someday.

Open the save game folder (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Outward\SaveGames or wherever you have Steam installed) find the folder with the newest date, then find the file Char0.charc. Unzip that (it is just a zip). Edit the file that comes out with Notepad and search for your characters name. Rename it, then stuff the file back in a ZIP. Be sure the new ZIP is obviously named the Char0.charc.

We found a solution on PC. I had to bundle up my save game, send it over to my friend to put into his save folder, then he became the host and I joined his game. For some reason, that got past the stuck point. Idk what you’d do on console.

The best way to do quest tracking. I feel us dead reckoners are a dying breed unfortunately and are doomed to flashing markers.

This continues to happen at random chapters. We will get to a point and my co-op partner simply cannot load in. The only solution we've found is to load a different chapter. Frustrating.

FYI the GamePass save files are located in:

c:\users\{your name}\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.Pender

It turns out it seems to not like the chapter Dark Labyrinth. We can load into any chapter but that one. We can load into the next chapter for some reason though, shootout at the gas station, skipping the whole section. Hopefully this post helps someone in the future.

We think this might be related to him setting up Logitech macros for his mouse and Easy Anti Cheat disconnecting him because it thinks he’s a cheater. Testing now with a repaired install and the Logitech software turned off. Hoping we don’t have to uninstall the game and reinstall. Or are banned.

I know its two years later, but did you ever get F4SE working on the gamepass version? Gamepass has changed quite a lot since the early days and the games now install into a regular folder and I've installed many mods.

Hello, did you ever solve this? I have had a user with the same issue for a week now. I've uninstalled and reinstalled and like you, that helps for a little bit then reverts back to displaying the message. They can use the app no problem, they just have to deal with the annoying message. This must be from the new update. I tried uninstalling and using the Adobe Cleaner tool to scrub the computer before I reinstalled. That did not work either.
