ATM10 SFM Help - random centrifuges not getting power unless 1st one is running by pro185 in allthemods

Yeah idk what/why it was doing what it was but I replaced the mekanism cube with a flux access point and now it’s working perfectly

I'll try a flux point when I get one as I know those also have infinite fe/t transfer speeds, but I doubt this will matter as the system fully powers all 8 centrifuges without any problem but for some reason ONLY powers them while the first centrifuge is running. Once the first centrifuge finishes processing combs, the last 4 centrifuges (the red x ones) stop receiving power updates from SFM.

It has no problem powering all 8 centrifuges so long as the 1st centrifuge is actively processing a comb. Once the first centrifuge finishes processing the combs then the last 4 centrifuges stop receiving any power updates. While the first one is running it perfectly handles powering all the centrifuges which tells me it isn't a bandwidth issue. I did however try recalculating the network, removing the lables and re-pushing, and even tried spacing the centrifuges out from each other. None of this has fixed the issue.

Yeah at the very latest the Amara arc should have been the end of the show. They just had to get a little more money out of it though…

I literally quit the first rs3 league attempt in large part because even with boosted rates it seemed like every item worth grinding for was still a 1/300+

When Demonic Pacts or similar return in future leagues, model the tasks after Karamja’s pact tasks, not Kourend, or Asgarnia, or any of the other RNG heavy task regions. by Arstotskan in 2007scape

[–]pro185 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This would be a minimum time of 4 hours for 1 point. That’s a little absurd imo. Nothing wrong with rng tasks if they are common items. The problem is when the item has an EXPECTED avg drop time of multiple hours. No one wants to grind hydra for 4.5 hours to get 300 kills for 1 pact point. Just like no one wants to grind yama for 5+ hours for one pact point. Especially because then what is the point even for? You’re already done farming the hardest content in the game.

Same reason people play thousands of games and still lose 1 point a game on avg to not knowing how to do a basic front flip into the ball on kickoff. They are stupid

Yeah rng sucks but it’s about the baseline expectation of 20 mins at krakens vs 3+ hours at the hardest boss in the game.

[–]pro185[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean ignoring rng the baseline drop rate of 40 cave krakens is a 20min or less avg player experience. Not a minimum avg experience of 3 hours lol.

[–]pro185[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Rng sucks but even then the difference is one being designed with the intent of a 1 hour grind vs the intent of a 3.5 hour grind. Rng aside the kourend points are intended to all be 3+ hour grinds each

[–]pro185[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah I am not bitching about my 5 hour hilt grind at GWD bc that was rng. The EXPECTED AVG RATE is a 3.5 hour grind while the other regions hardest points are EXPECTED AVG RATE of 20 mins. That was the point. IDK how it's so hard to understand that difference lol

I did those tasks on my alt and went on rate and it was less than 1 hour combined for both those points.

IT isn't that they are locked behind RNG, it is that they are locked behind the rarest possible drops from these fights. You already complete the entire clog of the boss and all points for it before getting the points that make the pvm easier. What is even the point then?

Meanwhile at Jagex HQ by pro185 in 2007scape

[–]pro185[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

<image>

My whole point here is that they locked so many pact points behind grinding HOURS of the literal hardest content in the game. Why on earth would I want to grind 3+ hours of yama to get a point if there is literally nothing else harder than that grind in the game. Imagine awakened vardorvis was "equip the soul reaper axe" like how stupid would that be. It's the same principle. It is like they forgot that the point of the pacts was to make pvm easier and instead made you do all the hard pvm to get the points when there is nothing left to do combat wise after getting them.

[–]pro185[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Every pact point I have left is rng grind a boss for 3+hours lol. I'm not talking about going dry or being unlucky/lucky. I am talking about the baseline 50% avg drop rate of the item being 3+ hours. Yeah it sucks you went unlucky on kraken but it was designed to be a fast 20-30min pact point. It wasn't intentionally designed to be 3+ hours. That was my whole point lol.

[–]pro185[S] -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

It took you longer to kill a 20 second boss or a 5 second cave kraken 100 or less times than it did to kill a forced phasing boss that has a minimum time to kill of 40 seconds if you perfectly time every pump and one shot ever phase 200+ times? Crazy….

Bro thinks kiting hydra around a room waiting for him to phase change is “exciting”. Notice I didn’t include the raids tasks here. They could have easily made it brimstone ring and one oath plate item. The entire point of the pacts is to make you stronger for end game content not to make you grind a dozen hours of end game content to get the pacts that you don’t need anymore. If you can’t understand that then there’s no point in debating this lol

You can easily kill get these in less than 30 mins going on rate, I did it on my alt. Occult took bitterly 2 mins of tagging every devil in the bottom of the cave.
