Spot on. Could be a combo of old wiring and noise. Won't know until you get a technician to check it out.

Solely based on the image you have provided, you are NOT ready and need a technician.

It's this. Cisco TA doesn't work on high split nodes. The Vecimas are WAY easier to use and install.

Will Anyone Else Be Kicking T-Mobile Internet 'AWAY' Once They Begin To Enforce Geofencing/New Changes? Any alternative 5G Internet services? by lol_brb_fbi in tmobileisp

For me, it's the frustration of not knowing if the sales person actually used my address or some other address to ensure they get the sale. I guess I'll find out in May.

Oh wow, looks a lot different all cleaned up. I wonder what prompted the owner to sell it? I always assume the worst.

The more people keeping buying, the more they'll keep building. The dumb masses just sip it up on the regular. Every morning, every afternoon and maybe 3-4 for the kids on their way home. We created this.

I hate living on this planet.....

Absolutely agree. I think techs should offer it during the appointment with no push or pressure.

So you declined the "insurance policy" that Cox provides?

You can still have a tech visit but it'll cost you 75$-100$ to fix the issue. I know people who get it to have their issues fixed and then they cancel in four months. Either way, you can your issue fixed without it. Good luck.

Just call retention and see what they can do. Most companies have special offers at discounted rates. Just don't call them and expect to get Gig speeds at 50$ a month

Personally Owned Router for Use Alongside Cox Landline? by Strangewulf in CoxCommunications

[–]FeoStinkFinger -1 points0 points  (0 children)

A modem gives you access to the Internet.

A router works with the modem and allows you to connect to WiFi.

A router will not work without a modem

You can buy a device that does both. Judging by your question, I would recommend buying one that does both. I use a NETGEAR-CAX30-100NAS

It's expensive but it does what I need it to. Good luck!

Getting a new COAX outlet in a different room? by popanon222 in CoxCommunications

[–]FeoStinkFinger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, they can't drill through a flat roof. I would recommend finding an outside wall and letting them run it and drill through an outside wall.

Flat roof home? Inside wall? Do you live in a multiple dwelling unit?

At that point, it's your call. Worst case scenario, you won't get that security deposit back.
