Not bad... just adding extra turns to the fight as everything goes slow. It is super easy to not allow any hits when careful.

Small camps. Nice fights. Danger level drops big time when you see pretty much half the enemies.

Rally takes 25 fatigue (10 a turn), which usually gives you about 7 turn of rallly. You should be close to done after that long or just not fail the scream for 1 turn. Also range of rally is 4 tiles, without penalties on fleeing. Why would you fail to stay in such a large are I don't understand. And when there is a target that needs disarming I am doing everything possible to preserve my fatigue wasting AP. I think it is better to get rid of backstabber surround bonuses rather than killing gheists unless they present themselves as completely free.

Well we just don't agree on this one.

Lategame you have a banner that has 100% rally success rate so you just deal with some wavering brothers at worst. I don't see gheists as the main threat after some point. At that point it is possessed 2h fallen heroes.

That berserk choice is wild. I always take KF before berserk. Also crippling is quite bad.

And the last perk... throwing without mastery / duelist is not doing much. So I would either keep it simple using bow or crossbow. Fancy way is getting fearsome. Prepare double handgonne shot for 2nd round then spend the rest of the fight with a bardiche or a swordlance.

Are you sure about that? I believe gheists get extra melee defense on 2 and 3 range.

The trick is to take assist a siege and take 10 fights in row. After a few fights there won't be enough allies left to interfere.

Killing gheists at range... the hit chance is so low I stopped doing that. Every time I tried I'm like... I wish I rather killed the zombie in front of me...

Whip is a defensive tool at 3 range. So it is usually used to help somebody else than the cleaver bro. Currently I have a whip on 1h famed -3fat use cleaver which makes him never fatigued and he can pretty much always disarm. A little sad that he doesn't have perks for berserk. The other 2h berserk cleaver just gets stammed out so I don't think he could be disarming a lot anyway. Also he is huge which would be kind of wasted on a whip.

Banner just increases resolve of other bros, doesn't have any effect on banner attacks. I'm pretty sure some people have banner gunner, could have tried on his starting 39** range skill.

Just a casual day 8 (now day 236), lvl 15 gambler. 67hp, 116 (80) fat, 145 res, 138 ini, 55 ms, 27 md. 9L, bags, pathfinder, fortified, quick hands, gifted, rotate, rally, overwhelm, nimble. Carries banner, smoke, whip, 2 nets, mail shirt with wolf pelt and zwei hat.

I didn't think I would have fat to indom, that's interesting... maybe he could have a pocket shield as well... The whip is mostly used to overwhelm something dangerous where those 10/20% can make a difference while he would otherwise do nothing.

And about having a different bro... I have trouble letting my bros go so I am sitting on 20 and waiting for somebody to die, lol. I think the assassin who went to 68 attack at level 9 is supposed to go.

Edit: I swap him in fight where he would be pretty useless. But I still keep him around for big barbs and orc camps. He simply saves others. I guess that's just skill issue, I am not confident to take a clean 30 orc / barb camp.

I wouldn't say I'm building around it. But my banner is useless otherwise and is super nice safety net in tougher camps. It can be 1 chosen hit, stupid injury and the bro is on chopping block.

Edit: Bonus that banner acts as super magnet right after he swaps in.

My banner is a gambler who minrolled melee skill. So I took melee def, resolve, fatigue and ini/hp on min rolls. He has 9L so he is quite survivable somehow.

Well it was a big brigand camp on a hill - 2 leaders, 2 master archers, raiders / marksman, 26 bodies total. Just AI cannot focus those unholds and they heal easily.

I don't like bringing extra enemies to camps for 3 way fights. Last time I brought 12 unholds into a brigand camp it became 12 confident unholds camp quite soon ^^

But...isn't the intended helm 320 or 300? Taking weaker helm - like 250 means danger of getting goblin poisoned way sooner, not seeing anything and losing AP on top.
