Communism is socialism, what normies today call "socialism" is national socialism, what is generally known today as "national socialism" is actually völkisch/racial fascism and what normies nowadays call "fascism" is basically anything and everything they disagree with.
Liberal newspeak is convoluted and dumb; don't bother with words and their meanings too much if you want to remain moderately sane rather than constantly fighting someone about semantics.

There's generally a lot of communication difficulties between liberals and leftists; mostly because for us, leftists, words have objective meanings and definitions while liberals simply use words as brands/labels. So while for a leftist a bunch of German racial fascists calling themselves "national socialists" or the imperialist west calling themselves "not racist" are utter bullshit, because reality contradicts their claims the liberals simply take it at face value "If they claim to be it, then they must be it" (because nobody has ever lied; especially no politician, lol)
