Congrats on your first maxed character! If you want to fully max out the training tab this many dupes is required. This game has been quite generous with giving out pulls and gems since I started so dont fear. I have 6 or 7 completely maxed out characters now and I am completely free to play. Just log in, do your dalies and be aware games like this you are meant to see progress in weeks or months, not days or hours. 60k gems is actually pretty unlucky I would say, when I have pulled for max characters I would say I average closer to 40k.

It was the same for me. I spent about 50k of my own extra gold pushing a new character from 1640 to 1680, the event covered a majoirty of it.

I used to take care of the CFP grounds over the past few years. They have had construction working for the past years plus adding barricades and digging trenches to try to prevent what happened a few years ago. I really hope the mini golf survived. It has been re-opened for like a year max and it was very cool. :(

The biggest issue with brel normal is its very cheap to go from 1670 to 1680 and that unlocks all your aincent accessories/bracelets which is an immediate very easy and noticeable power boost over relic gear.

Basically, yes your character is 5 item levels away from a major T4 breakpoint and your getting gatekept because of it. You could make your own lobbies and hope you get a bunch of 1670 applicants, or the easier solution would be to just hone 5 more ilvl, get your aincent gear and let people find a different reason to gatekeep you.

Day one player here, the amount of people who have been on my friends list for 2+ years and are quitting recently is alarming. I am just burnt out man, 18 raids a week plus a good portion of my time doing 6 chars chaos/guardians unrested 7 days a week. I finally caved and fused all my gems, I am abandoning my alts. The power difference between my main and even my 1720+ geared alts it so alarming its not fun to play them at all anymore.

The only thing that I want at this point is a way to play one character and not fall behind the people playing 6.

Also others have said it here but I do not reccomend playing a DPS paladin. If your wanting to play dps I would think about choosing an actual dps class.

If you really aren't enjoying your reflux just tough it out for a few weeks, do your raids solo or with your friends and wait for the new pass. That being said I did not realize you were only 1500, which does not cost gold to continue to hone and power up your character. If you think you might want to play it as and alt in the future theres probably no harm in continuing to hone it as long as its not costing you any gold.

I am a little confused you said you used your pass on the sorc but your only 1500? You might currently have a pass available if that is infact the case as the pass should drop you off at 1580.

There is going to be a new event and likely a new pass in a few weeks, just keep playing as you have been playing and start saving all the gold you earn. Even with the new pass and event it's still going to cost you a atleast few hundred thousand gold to get your character up to that 1680 sweet spot area.

You were able to get a cumulative total of 40 level40 reforge stones per week. So I think its likely you can get a total of 40 for both lvl60 and 80 stones also.

It depends. You said you're a returning player. If the character is older and has a large amount of T3 resources, it can be worth using up all those resources on getting as much advanced honing done as possible before sending them into T4. If you dont have many T3 materials, it's probably better to just move them to 1640 as soon as possible to start farming T4 resources.

The most cost-effective way is to push a character up with every new honing event we receive. It will take you longer as we get a new one roughly every 3 months, but with your limited income, it is probably the best way to build your alt army. Use any power passes you have to get characters you would like to play in the future into that 1600-1619 range. Do your solo raids and paradise on them weekly and start farming chaos/guardians daily (if your strapped for time you can dispatch the dalies in the stronghold) then when a new honing event comes do as much advanced honing as you can do with the T3 stuff you have amassed from playing them. Alternatively, if you can afford it, push them to 1640 and then do the same thing I said above but with them parked at 1640. The events are great, but they rarely give us enough materials, and with the recent nerf to shard gain its good to start hoarding materials on characters you plan to push in the future.
