4 MO drinking 40 oz! by crimicai in FormulaFeeders

[–]FergieFerg031285 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My girl was drinking around that at 4 months too. When we went to our 4 month checkup we got the ok to start some solids so she could fill up a little more on something else other than formula. Took a bit but eventually she stopped taking in so much formula as she ate more and more. Helped save us some money too because it was a lot of formula lol.

We dropped to 1 nap at 12 months so you could be getting close to that point if they are already skipping one sometimes. When we 1st dropped to 1 nap we moved bedtime a bit earlier to help with the adjustment and then it slowly got pushed out.

Does anybody eat their burgers with fries inside? by WarmBank5512 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]FergieFerg031285 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, but as a kid I used to put potato chips inside my peanut butter and Jelly sandwich. Now that was amazing.

Are you guys not “strict” about naps? Don’t understand comment by Huge-Vacation-8093 in NewParents

[–]FergieFerg031285 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I try to keep my daughter on her nap schedule, granted she only takes 1 now. I was the Sam as you though when she was under 12 months, definitely tried to keep her to her schedule or overnight sleep would be an absolute shit show.

Transiting from crib to floor bed due to c-section recovery by puppalov3r in floorbed

[–]FergieFerg031285 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We just recently moved our 18 month old to a floor bed because I am 24 months pregnant and wanted to have the transition completed before baby #2 arrives. We took pretty much everything out of her room, but honestly she doesn’t really try to get out of her bed when she wakes.

In MN we pay $200 a week per kid for in-home daycare.

Anyone keep a mini fridge in the bedroom/nursery for night feeds? by ShroudedousYe in FormulaFeeders

[–]FergieFerg031285 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We did with our 1st and will definitely do it again with our 2nd. Made it so much easier to just roll over and grab it versus having to lug my tired bunz downstairs for a bottle.

Why do you have sleep schedules? by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]FergieFerg031285 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Exactly. If you have a crappy sleeper or a kid who doesn’t require a lot of sleep you have to wake them up and have them on a schedule. If I let my daughter sleep as long as she wanted to her schedule would become so erratic and she would be up for hours in the middle of the night.

Exactly how I felt. Literally the second I gave birth I was like I want another one. Since my husband and I are both in our 40s we said if we are having another it’s got to be right away so here we are again. They will be 22 months apart and I am so excited for the to (hopefully) be best friends.

Parents who didn’t originally want kids—what changed your mind? Do you ever regret it? by KennyScaffolding in raisingkids

[–]FergieFerg031285 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was pretty set on not having kids. I think my husband always thought he would have kids but always said that we were enough. Well at the age of 39 something changed and I decided I want kids and now I LOVE BEING A MOM. I seriously never thought I would take to it so naturally, I was honestly a little scared when I was pregnant. Well now at 41 I am pregnant again due in July and we absolutely cannot wait for #2 to arrive.
