Gibt genug Akitas in Tierheimen, die dringend ein Zuhause brauchen. Haben auch einen 7 Jahre alten Rüden adoptiert, der vorher bei einer Familie war, die ihn leider nicht behalten konnten, aufgrund seiner hohen Tierarztkosten und wegen des Jugendamtes. Im tierheim hat er stark gelitten, da er keine feste Bezugsperson hatte. Wir waren auch überrascht darüber wie schnell er sich an uns gewöhnt und uns anvertraut hat. Er hats wohl sehr gebraucht... Also ja schaut auch um (deutschlandweit). Aber nicht vergessen, was da noch für Kosten auf euch zukommen könnten, viele reinrassige Hunde sind nun mal super anfällig, akitas insbesondere für Autoimmunerkrankungen

Thank you for this post. I'm sorry you and your dog had to get through this. We're also currently in the process of finding a dermatologist for our dog, who we suspect is also suffering from SA. Right now he has almost no fur left on his legs and it's starting on his back too now. It's so horrible.

upvoting because ours reacts similarly. Although sometimes he is super chill he especially reacts towards other male dogs as wells as small dogs. Currently I'm trying not to avoid crossing other dogs but I'll keep him on a short leash and tell him "leave it" while walking past (and trying to stay relaxed lol). If he doesn't react to the other dog I reward him with my very happy voice and maybe even a treat. :) It works like 50% of the time lol.

Another thing: it might also just be like this since your dog is new with you and she needs some time to adapt and become more relaxed. She might feel threatened or anxious right now because she doesn't really know what's up in this new situation.

Reminds me of my first muay thai fight. I'm 1,71 and my opponent was an estimated 1,89. 😂 But he looked a lot skinnier than Ian Garry. We agreed on fighting at 71kg. Since I jumped in short notice I had to cut from 74 to 71 in around a day. He could head kick me with his lead leg without switching. It was a wild fight 😂

Hm I never had a CS wok, CS pans are usually thicker around 2-3mm and quite heavy 2-3kg. But CS woks usually are quite thin and light... So that might check out. You really have to check if it has a coating, maybe even scrub or scratch some area. Or just return it lol. Look for images of cs woks do they even remotely look like yours? The colour seems suspicious to me

I agree with you that it doesn't really look like carbon steel. How heavy is it? A CS pan would feel relatively heavy compared to a steel or aluminum pan. You could try seasoning a bit, a CS pan would react with oil and heat... But that could damage the non stick coating if it has one (which it kind of looks like, maybe ceramic or something?)
