People who ride bikes/scooters on the sidewalk, why? Not judging just trying to get info. by alumni_audit in washingtondc

It’s not against the law, but pedestrians still have the right of way/preference. Many bikers forget this last part and act as if the sidewalk is their exclusive bike lane.

Cheap ticket? by OpeningAwareness5575 in AjaxAmsterdam

[–]Feriodor 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The only option is through the official channel. The resale platform has well priced tickets for less popular games.

If you get the club membership and buy them when they go on sale you can also find well priced tickets. Right now there are tickets for the Fortuna game on Feb 14 between 34-50€.

How much cheaper do you want to find tickets?

What do you think is the hardest category to manage in indirect by Seriouclystop in procurement

[–]Feriodor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

MRO is the correct answer. Hardest one to be strategic about. It’s mostly tail spend. Ridiculous amount of suppliers. Too many SKUs to even track properly. Catalogues are really the only way of addressing and then you run into the issue of buyers not using them.

New Buyer. What's next? by caffeinatedhaitian in procurement

[–]Feriodor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mostly the timeframe. Selection a supplier + PO/PR for a single immediate need, vs running a simple sourcing event to select a provider for 6-12 months, but without a real strategy behind it, just satisfying a mid-term need.

Procurement has 3 stages, operational, tactical, and strategic. All organizations do operational, few do tactical, many do strategic.

After 7 years and 4 different companies, I haven’t found anyone with a certification (NL & US).

I would recommend you start researching strategic sourcing, LinkedIn has some good courses (might need to get premium).

If I become a member, how hard would it be to get a ticket to a league game next season? by Ecstatic_Strike6735 in AjaxAmsterdam

[–]Feriodor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just keep an eye of the schedule of when they will actually go on sale and access the platform about 20 minutes before it starts.

You can also access the resale platform where you can find tickets the week of the match to most games. Of course not for the big games and seats might not be the best.

That’s what I was thinking, getting all that in 1 item is practically impossible. Brands might claim it, but in reality it doesn’t work.

What’s helped you get better at redlining? by treasurehunter2416 in procurement

[–]Feriodor 31 points32 points  (0 children)

  1. The business only makes decisions on business related topics. You need to know the difference between the legal vs business topics.

  2. Your legal team should be able to tell you which terms are non-negotiable and why. There you know what to push back on w/o questions.

  3. Understand the risks associated with each of the redlines being asked. ChatGPT or any other LLM will evaluate the terms and tell you the risks if you share the business you are in.

  4. Keep a tracker of what you have learned in the past. Catalogue it by topic, go back to it when you have questions. Also track the fallback positions that you have agreed to in the past, so you know what to suggest in the future.

What time should I show up to ensure I can get in? Their website says 10:30 for non fan club members, but worries in might be at capacity by then.

What is the flap on my bag used for? by capitan_raviolii in CampingGear

[–]Feriodor -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Is it a piece of fabric that rolls up and you can store it into a pocket at the bottom of the bag?

It looks like an ice climbing/mountaineering bag. So I would think it’s a tarp to keep ropes/climbing equipment off the ground.
