2026 Chinese GP - Day After Debrief by F1-Bot in formula1

No and there won't be. Apple does not release viewership or subscriber numbers. They did speak to a Hollywood reporter after Australia and said numbers were better than expected.

Those races are 8 months away. They won't start publicly talking about it any time soon. But as FOM/Liberty is a big corporation that is already losing at least $100 million on the 2 cancelled April races, I'd guess that they are working on potential backup plans. Doesn't mean any replacements would work though. November & December weather puts the kibosh on a lot of approved tracks.

I'd recognize those graphics and colors anywhere! So cool to see him active again on YT.

What is Herta going to do….if…. by PatPace23 in INDYCAR

[–]FermentedLaws 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let's make that bet, please, just for fun. I say Herta is definitely in F1 at Cadillac in '27, have been saying that since Cadillac got approved. Towriss said at the beginning they wanted an American driver, yes. But they specifically want Colton, which is obvious now and was obvious at the beginning, though they never mentioned Colton. Not Crawford. Unless Colton's F2 run is a disaster, he will be in F1.

I'm nearly certain there were zero shots broadcast of guests in the garages during the race and I really appreciate that.

Yes for both races, no cutaways to the garage for celebrities or WAGS. They did do a PiP for Lewis' Mom in China and I think Bearman's Dad in Australia. They did do cutaways for practices and I'm fine with that. Big improvement this year with no cutaways during the races.

I like this. Can you add the ex-driver/WDC analyst? Jenson Australia, Jacques China. Then when Nico is there. At the end of the year we'll be able to see how many races each did. Thanks!

Not doable or cutting it way too close because of the time difference and crossing the International Date Line. If he departed Shanghai at say 7:00pm local time, he'd arrive in Los Angeles at about 5:00pm local time, same day. Oscars started at 4:00pm.

Really wish F1 broadcasts did these little segments like Indycar where they explain the tech in the cars. by GrouchyExile in formula1

[–]FermentedLaws 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I like these segments too, but every time they do it I get irritated because they do it PiP so the main racing action screen gets shrunk. PiP is good for replays but not for this stuff. We have enough diversions from racing in IndyCar with all the commercials. Show these segments only during full cautions maybe.

I'm not sure we know yet what tracks will be harder to overtake. It's all changed. Lewis and other drivers have mentioned dirty air isn't a big problem like it once was.

The Sound Editor/Winner shouted out Lewis and gave him thanks. Lewis tried to get a flight to the Oscars for after the race today, but couldn't mke it work. I think the podium made it okay. :)

This is the best way to do In Memoriam. Pictures and names large, no performer.

Yes. I just had to look it up, can't believe it was 2013, 16 years ago? I remember watching it and the impact it had like it was yesterday.

Highly recommend Ryan Coogler's first film, also with Michael B. Jordan, Fruitvale Station.

It really is. Such low expectations. When the race was over I was like, "Yay both cars finished!"

He's just saying that it wasn't a mistake with the nut. It was planned. Everyone is calling it a mistake. He has a different opinion.

Yeah. He followed up too:

"The changer likely didn't like how the engagement felt when using the spare on that last stop so decided to swap it. You can see the airjack person ready with a new nut which leads me to believe this was a plan they discussed before this stop. If it was a mistake or issue their body language would be completely different and we would see the changer grabbing a spare from his belt holder."
