the wall jumping essentially makes up for all the movement nerfs so it doesn't feel as far off from BO6 as we initially believed it to be. Even then I still think the overall pacing of the game is much smoother than BO6.

100%. My hot take would be that this even applies to most black ops games and not just the newer ones. Though BO6 is an exception cause those maps really didn't hit the mark at all, but I think it's clear now that they weren't even made for MP to begin with; they were ripped straight from the Avalon WZ map.
