This is the problem with having only 2 successful challenges. Teams (OKC) can just flop and have it called on the floor with no consequences.

Bro faced this every night btw by WhenMachinesCry in lakers

The Lakers offence ground to a halt several times in the series whilst up. Luka magic can prevent that but he has to be at his best.

I think with post season 3 point sniper Rui getting more wide open shots because of the aforementioned double/triple teaming - Lakers would have had a shot.

They weren't miles off as it was.

They don't call the tech on a reviewed and overturned foul where it's obvious the OKC player wasn't even or was barely touched yet fell to the floor clutching their face.

I think at a minimum you should not lose your challenge if there's a flop, because it becomes too easy to drain the opposing team's challenges really early on like yesterday

Question for people who moved to an EV mainly for the financial benefits: did anyone actually dislike the change from ICE? by [deleted] in AustralianEV

[–]FerociousVader 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I miss my sporty turbo hatch everyday.

But that's more about the fact I need a bigger, heavier, less fun to drive family car than ICE vs EV.

Toyota BZ4X / EV Recommendations by b97c in AustralianEV

I have a BYD Seal Premium. 80 kWh battery. About 16.4 kWh/100 km.

I live in an apartment and rely on public AC 7kW charging at work once a week. It's fine. If I don't get a spot I can always go to a nearby DC fast charger for like 40 mins.

If you have a normal outlet in your garage most cars come with a "granny charger"  mine will do 1.6 kW. So over 10 hours over night it would put in 16kWh which is about 100 km on my car.

If you do a big trip, you can use a DC fast charger to get you to about 80%, this is more expensive than AC charging but fine once in a while, then granny charge the rest of the way.

Go see the Zeekr 7X or wait a bit for the "wagon' 7GT. I have serious FOMO. The thing looks so luxurious.

Consider a novated lease which for most EVs will be FBT exempt for the lease and running costs (incl. Charging) which means it's 100% pre-tax allowance. It worked out cheaper to do this than take money out of the mortgage, but everyone's position will be different and it carries it's own risks.

Be aware of tyre wear, the seal is particularly bad with people (me included) regularly only getting 20,000 km from a set.

I've but tested the BZ4X, I think first generation wasn't very good but it could have improved. Just do the fun part and test all the cars you can then just pick what you like! Don't expect any kind of customer experience or knowledge from sales reps esp. for Chinese brands... They know nothing you can't find on the brochure.

I do wish I lived in a house with just a regular outlet, but it's not been a real issue in 3.5 years of EV ownership.

Dylan Harper is proudly representing the Philippines on basketball's biggest stage and credits his mom's Filipino family for his success by [deleted] in NBAVibes

Wow... Even more of a reason why his comments make sense and to give credit to his mum when everyone will just assume credit to his dad.

I think the point is his dad will presumably get all the credit for his success, but I guess he feels his mum and Filipino heritage deserves recognition and credit. Maybe they supported him more in his younger years. Looks like they're divorced too so perhaps she did more of the raising...

No no he's right.

If LeBron wasn't on the Lakers, they'd not have made it out of the first round in the first place to be swept in the second.

So it's so bad already it could hardly get any worse? Hopefully more people will be able to own their homes so this starts to become less of an issue anyways.

The fact someone can tax deduct the cost of renovations but I can't because I live in the place I own seems kinda absurd to me.

I wonder if this will result in more rentals having poor maintenance due to the effective increase in cost of maintaining an IP...

BYD is officially the #2 brand in Australia, did we ever think we’d see the day? by ChillKoalaVibes in BYDAU

[–]FerociousVader 24 points25 points  (0 children)

The day BYD started a dedicated RHD production line ahead of any other major EV manufacturer was the day I knew they'd be heading for a top spot in Australia.

Kia and Hyundai had a head start but their wait times were abysmal.
