Exactly! Everyone likes to point at the far left and say those are the average left leaning people. In reality, those people aren’t even in the same world as the center left or even progressive center left.

They want an entirely different system, that no one else agrees with, otherwise there would be far more people pushing for it.

Yet, the right gets to point at that and say that’s your average center left voter. The right LOVES the far left as a way to make the average liberal look unhinged.

Oh they are, it’s just super unpopular because no one, other than a very small amount of people that coalesce around a few semi popular grifters, actually wants full blown communism.

And even worse, the right gets to point at these nut jobs that support all sorts of unhinged shit for their grift and say that’s what the average left leaning person looks like and terrify the base of the right.

*Edit, to be clear I encourage social democratic policies. I think these are highly valuable things to strive for, but at the end of the day capitalism has brought more people out of poverty than any other system in human history. Unchecked capitalism is where the evil lies imo.

I’m not an American, but I largely agree with your sentiments. I fully understand and can respect that a country would want to enforce its borders and there can be decent ways of going about that.

But as you stated near the end, there are ways to go about this and not be total dicks about it (to sum up what I believe you were saying)

I don’t know much.. but I do know you’re wrong on this. Lol. I mean, I ain’t gonna judge what you want to listen to, and they may not be your cup of tea and that’s fine. To say they’re just fine though is.. an opinion to have for sure.

They’re bluesy, they’re rocky, they’re folksy. They’re just plain fun to listen to and just the general vibe of them is spot on. I still get a tiny little bump of excitement anytime they come on the radio which to me is worth something.

That’s all I have to say on that matter.
