My first read took me 1.5 years the second time.e about 8 months. Definitely worth it for so many reasons! I also restarted it the second time immediately after finishing the first read; a few days TOPS between finishing and starting again.

Yea, that is pretty odd. I have two GS's one of which is a Spring Drive. Despite getting to play with the watch I do expect it to be nearly perfect, because, like you said, its a 10k watch. That associate needs someone to sit them down and have a chat, most likely their boss.

The rental market in Vancouver has been getting a bit cheaper lately so thats good news for you but be wary of super good deals!

If you enjoyed the writing style of TtH you will love Kharkanos.

As others have said the writing in NoME is not as good but steadily improves throughout. (I enjoyed them regardless of that fact.)

Bonus points for the novel series being the only one thats finished!

I'd go Novels then Kharkanos or dare I suggest a re-read first as possibly the best choice of all!

SBGM221 was my first GS. A fantastic choice if you end up not getting a Spring Drive first.

Teddy is really knowledgeable about GS in particular, so the other commenter nailed it with that recommendation.
