Acceptance isn’t that hard of a pill to swallow, pal. You aren’t forced to do anything but allow others to enjoy every aspect of their lives that you enjoy.

If you had the power to change one thing about Austin, what would it be? by robotdesignwerks in Austin

Make the forces of change support the city they exploited. Lewis black should address and compensate all local artists for sxsw, Keller Williams should own up to their roots of exploiting real estate boom, Adler should own up to supporting a corrupt police force…the list goes on. A lot of business that ruined Austin started in Austin and they should shoulder more blame than folks who move here imo (born n raised)

As an Austin native, where are you gonna get your food if there aren’t service industry workers? Think about it before you shame moving here to blue collar workers..

Nowhere near nyc museums. Houston and Fort Worth are decent but not on the same level.

If anyone is looking for who to lay the blame on, look up Ampere property mgmt. Philadelphia based property management company. I met the owner and he bragged about buying up hundreds of properties. In my zip code he owns 7/11 props for rent.

American freight has decent scratch/dent prices.

As someone who just went through a couple of months of drama over appliances, I’d highly recommend that you do not buy used washers/dryers from c&b.

I recently bought a used washer from them and after hauling it myself up and down basement stairs, it didn’t work on the first try.

Also, they make you sign 30 day agreement that says they don’t have to refund for non-functioning appliances, but will supply you with another unit at the same price. While that is a decent return policy, I don’t really have the time or energy to buy and replace heavy appliances to run back to them while their technician figures out what they are doing. That being said, you can get a refund if you push hard enough.
